Buzz Lightyear's new voice

I heard from someone on here that Buzz lightyear (the Audio-Animatronic) has changed his voice, so I went to check it out, and I recorded the new "speech", which is essentially the same, but with a different voice:

No kidding. If they were gonna keep Tim Allen's voice, fine. But what purpose does this serve?

My guess is the change was more for the sanity of the Cast Members who worked there and have to listen to it over and over and over and over and over and over and over......

If you ask me, this sounds a lot more like Tim Allen than the previous voice did, and the speech is less annoying.

Not sure how some of you can hear the vocals well enough to deem it "terrible". I mostly hear guests talking and the occasional scream, but from what I can hear of Buzz it sounds more like Tim Allen than it did previously. :shrug:

It's a whole different script.

Also, if you find and listen to the "old" Buzz, you can easily hear the different slower pace and tone of an "older, wiser Buzz Allen"! :lookaroun

Another side effect of Fastpass, IMO. Because it's an Omnimover ride system, the line was always moving, and you pretty much only heard the loop once, maybe twice in the time you were in that room. Now that they stop the Standby line to allow FP holders in....

Also, not everyone pays attention to Buzz until they get well into the room he's in. So the loop has to be short enough that people get the gist of it before they're on the the loading area.

Indeed, it sounds more like Tim Allen, AND this spiel seems to be longer and more spaced out, so it'll be less repetitive.

I see this as a minor improvement and nothing to complain about.

I didn't say anything about the script. I was talking about the audio quality of the video, not sure how anyone can form a definitive opinion based on it, really.

I have a very good camera, and the audio is always clear, but there were too many people screaming and if that wasn't enough, the ride stopped momentarily, so they were making announcements too... :shrug:
