Are you SURE? I mean, do you really KNOW who you're talking to? I mean, I might even be such a person. Theoretically speaking, of course...

You are right, I do not know all. I have been around these boards for a while though and know many of the posters. Also locations help. There aren't too many WDW transportation managers up here in the great North East or outside FL.

The official answer on the availabilty of Transportation.

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

Getting around the Walt Disney World Resort is easier than ever. Relax,
we've thought of everything!

This transportation is available to all guests with park admission
tickets.

Zip around by monorail, sail leisurely by boat or hop aboard a bus.
We'll get you to where ever the magic is calling. Complimentary
transportation throughout the Walt Disney World Resort is provided to
all Disney resort guests and Walt Disney World theme park ticket
holders. Included are the air conditioned motorcoaches, monorail
service between Epcot and the Magic Kingdom Parks, motor launches, ferry
boats, and limited water taxi service.

By Bus:

Most areas of the Walt Disney World Resort are accessible by bus from
other areas within the Resort, including Theme Parks, Water Parks, the
Disney Resorts and DOWNTOWN DISNEY area. Buses travel on routes
throughout the Resort but do not always provide direct service between
all destinations. (Magic Kingdom Park is not accessible by bus from
Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and
Disney's Polynesian Resort. These Resorts provide monorail
transportation to the park.)

By Boat:

The Disney ferry boats connect the Magic Kingdom Park to the
Transportation and Ticket Center (adjacent to Magic Kingdom parking).
The Magic Kingdom Park is also accessible by water taxi from Disney's
Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's
Polynesian Resort, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, and
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Epcot and the Disney-MGM Studios are
accessible by Friendship Launches from Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Villas
Resort, Disney's Yacht Club & Disney's Beach Club Resorts, and the Walt
Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin Resorts. The water taxi
on the Sassagoula river connects Disney's Port Orleans Resort and
Disney's Old Key West Resort with DOWNTOWN DISNEY.

By Monorail:

Disney's monorail runs between the Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's
Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's
Polynesian Resort, and the Transportation and Ticket Center (adjacent to
the Magic Kingdom parking lot). A connecting monorail takes Guests from
the Transportation and Ticket Center to Epcot.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact
us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if
applicable on all correspondence.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

I guess that this settles the argument in two threads (even though this one was only created to have two copies of one thread). I wouldn't be surprised if this policy changes if the DTD parking issue becomes a bigger problem for shoppers. I wouldn't be surprised if they change the policy to only allowing DTD transportation to Resort guests if Parking @ DTD becomes a problem.

Good point. If it really became that much of a problem, they could check resort ID to get to/from DTD on buses.

Of course, I already feel that parking is a major problem, but I couldn't guess what percentage of cars there are actually for people resort hopping or trying to avoid paying parking fees. I would guess it's actually pretty low.
