Buses at POR

Can anyone tell me if during peak times, like Spring Break, Port Orleans Riverside has its own buses instead of being lumped in with POFQ? Also, which stop at POR would be the first/best stop during this time?

Thanks for the info. This will be our family's first time to go during a really busy time!!:)

POR is our favorite resort. We were just there in December.

The buses are not shared with POFQ during anytime other than the middle of the day (see note below about DHS) when very few people are using the buses. Then they may combine the route but not always.
Some people have the impression that the buses are always shared w/POFQ but that is not the case. Just notice the two separate loading stations at the park bus areas.
Only Disney Studios lumps them together but then there are more buses.
I think it's because they ran out of bus stop space at the Studios.

At POR, normally we used the bus stop in front of the lobby (they call it the South bus stop) because our building in the Magnolia Bend area (the mansions) was closest to it and because we were often coming from, or going to, the food court/gift shop.

There are four bus stops. You can use the one nearest to your room if you are not already at the lobby bldg. or need to go there.

We have found the bus service at POR to be rather good.
Occasionally, as with all bus stops, you may have just missed the bus you need. Occasionally you will have to stand but that's usually when coming back from the parks and everybody is trying to get back at the same time.

Good luck.

The buses do share with POFQ. They stop there first then on to POR. We always boarded the buses at the stop at the front of the resort since it was the first stop at this resort - better chance on getting a seat vs. standing.

They do share most of the time. Epcot and the Magic Kingdom split them up if it's really busy. But they really don't do enough to alleviate the crowds; I won't stay at Port Orleans anymore because of the horrible bus situation.

Whether they share or not, you won't have any trouble.

We were there during late April last year and stayed at POR.

Everything was like clockwork!

Have fun!

We just got back, POR. The buses are shared. They do tend to get packed as I only remember sitting once. Somewhat put-off by giving your seat to a woman only to have a teen jump in it. Their day of holding babies will come. And for some reason, the POR bus and, only the POR bus always had a line 2-4 rows deep leaving the parks??? Anyways, other than the bus everything else was pretty much perfect!

I can't say whether or not POR and FQ share buses, but I can tell you I hated the bus service at POR when I stayed there in October. Too much waiting and not enough buses for the crowds.

Don't get me wrong; I don't expect to have buses waiting for me when I walk up to the stops. But there definitely is room for improvement here.

Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay.

We stayed at POR during the summer of 2006.
It was a busy time of the year, but we never had a problem w/ buses there & they were shared w/ POFQ.

During the busiest days of the year the resorts are split. When I was there this past week the resorts had their own bus stops up until 1/5, after that they put them back together to one.
