Bus accident by Animal Kingdom.

An SUV heading in the wrong direction hit what looks like (but I'm not sure) a Disney Transportation bus and both vehicles caught fire and there are injuries.

I read an article that it was a TranStar bus - the contracted company that brings College Program people to work.

ORLANDO -- The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a head-on collision involving a bus and a SUV driving in the wrong direction near Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park.

It was the Transtar bus that brings the CP cast members to work. It was the J bus route that was struck by an oncoming suv headed the wrong way. Right now it is being reported that 11 cast members on the bus have been transported to the hospital.

Sherberth is a two lane winding road. Very easily could have switched lanes on accident, unfortunately.

Its Sherberth Road. Two lane Road, double yellow line last time I took it.

So, you can't actually go the wrong way by accident... you simply cross the yellow?

Split that hair if you want. Traveling in the wrong direction (northbound in the southbound lanes) is still traveling in the wrong direction.

When I hear "going the wrong direction", I think of a car on the wrong side of a divided highway, like with a physical median.

But yes, crossing the yellow is technically going the wrong way.

Staying at Jambo for the weekend and just returned from MK. Sherberth is closed and many, many rescue vehicles on scene. Hoping everyone is okay!

The curves on this road are very tight and hard to see around. If you go too fast its easy to end up "hugging" the other lane. At least no one was killed.

I saw the smoke from world drive. As one who has driven sherbeth often-I can easily see how this would've happened (it's a crazy windy road) and hope everyone heals-

Saw the tragic mess on our way back to Kadani village from the MK the bus was a burnt she'll and we saw a blue life flight chopper on the ground as we were waiting at the intersection of Osceola and Sherbetth road.

It would be unlikely that a Disney Transport bus would be on this road, and more recent reports state this was not a Disney bus. The bus in question was operated by Super Transportation of Florida. College Program buses have traditionally been alternated between TransStar and American Coach.
