Bring Your Swim Trunks and Your Flippie-Floppies. It’s a Fantasy Cruise Report!

Well, I’ve been home now from my cruise for about two weeks so I suppose it’s time to get started on my trip report!

The Details:

Who: Me (Ashley) and my husband (Wes)
File0525.jpg

When: May 11-18, 2013

Where: 7 Night Western Caribbean Cruise

Side Note: I got a new camera for Christmas that I was super excited to use on this trip. It’s a Canon Rebel T4i. On Day 6 of our trip, while eating a fabulous dinner at Palo, I turned on my camera and saw the worst message… “Cannot read memory card”. o_O:eek::( At this point in the trip, I had already taken over 900 pictures and my immediate reaction was “Oh my God…did I just lose all of my pictures?!” I brought another memory card with me on the trip so I knew that I could take more pictures but I was so sad thinking that I had lost all of the pictures from our trip so far.

I am happy to report that I was able to save almost all of my pictures once I got home. Luckily, only some of the first and second day pictures were affected and the rest of the pictures were still intact! Thanks again to the wonderful people who replied to my post about different programs that I could use to try to save my pictures! :D You may notice that some of my pictures from Day 1 and 2 are cropped a little weird and the reason is that the picture was corrupted so I cut off the bad portion to salvage the picture.

Now, enough of that drama…on with the trip report! :D

Saturday May 11th – “Come Sail Away! Come Sail Away!”

We were up early after a horrible night’s sleep. Our neighbors decided to blast their car radio at 3am so that was fun. I was up at 4:55 and my Dad came to pick us up around 5:20. My parents were watching the dog, so she came with us for a ride in the car to the airport. We got to the airport, said goodbye to the dog and my Dad, checked our bags, went through security and were sitting at our gate by 5:57am. Not too shabby. I love RDU!

Our flight took off at 6:45am and it was uneventful. Wes and I both took a much-needed nap for a good portion of the flight. We landed at MCO early and made our way to the DME counter. We got there at 8:26 but the cruise podiums didn’t open until 9am so we had some time to kill.

IMG_1018.jpg

Instagram LOVE

After killing some time on social media, the check in podium opened up and we were the third people to check in. I had our camera bag and a small carryon bag and Wes had his backpack. We decided to drop off my carry on bag to be delivered to our room so I wouldn’t have to carry it until our room was ready. So we transferred a few items to Wes’ backpack and then dropped it off to be delivered to our room.

File0002.jpg

There she is! :D

File0003.jpg

File0004.jpg

So close!

The bus ride to Port Canaveral seemed very short. We arrived at the Port a few minutes after 10am and made our way inside the Port terminal. We walked inside and were the second couple in the terminal that morning! Woo hoo! Last time we cruised, we didn’t arrive to the terminal until around 1:30 so boarding had already started by the time we got there. I was excited to get to explore the terminal while it was so empty.

File0006.jpg

Empty terminal

After this, a lovely Cast Member offered to take our picture in the empty terminal. Unfortunately, this was one of the pictures that was lost. :( Oh well. We were now Castaway Club members so we got to check-in in the special line. We felt so special. :D Check in was a breeze and we then went to explore the terminal. Again, most of my pictures from the empty terminal were destroyed but here are a few that were saved.

Boarding Group 3! Whoop whoop!

They started boarding the ship around 11:30. We were on the ship a little before noon and went straight to Cabanas to grab some lunch. Of course, I first had to take a couple pictures of that beautiful chandelier!

Ashley! I am so excited you started this!!!! My husband and I (yes..trip report coming soon) are planning a cruise for our 1 year on the fantasy next May. we wanted to do the Eastern on our actual wedding week (but we have friends getting married that weekend so we can't). I'm glad you did the Western so I could see if we liked it..so far not so sure. We don't like the vendors either. So we're on the fence on wether to do the Eastern the first week of May or the Western the second week of May...I will be booking it when we go on our girl's cruise! (can't wait!) So keep it coming!!!! I love hearing about the excursions you're going on.

The Fantasy looks beautiful! We loved the Dream so much and I seriously started tearing up when I saw your picture of when you're driving into Port Canaveral and you first see the ship...yep our honeymoon had a huge effect on me and I will forever love cruising now :) You and Wes sound like us...we were always going up for some 'Eye Scream' :)

Enough of me rambling...can't wait to read more!

I love your TR! I'm ready to go on another cruise now :D. DSLRs have a big learning curve, I totally understand that feeling of learning which lens to use when. I actually end up using my shirt a lot to clean the lens if I smudge it . Get a UV filter (I think the one I use was like $10 and you cannot see a difference in the photos); that way if you scratch it you're only out the filter and not an expensive lens!

Keep the updates coming!

Excellent report! We set sail in September and can't wait! Haven't sailed with DCL since New Year's Eve several years ago, so we're long overdue! This will also be our first cruise with our daughter (she'll be just shy of four when we go) so I'm loving all the ship details so we know what to expect! I keep laughing when you talk about getting to dinner last every night....we were last every night on our last two Disney cruises and it was a running joke!

Can't wait for the rest!

I wish I would have gotten some of those desserts. They looked so good but I was still so full from dinner. Thanks! I got it from Target. I thought it was very cruise-worthy.

You gotta rock a high pony when it's that hot out. :D

Thanks! Me too! :D The DSLR is quite a change from using a point and shoot. I'm hoping that by our next trip I will have a little better handle on it. I like the idea of getting a UV filter. I may need to do that.

Thanks for reading! I wish I was sailing again in September. :) I keep telling my husband that I want to have kids so I can take them to Disney with us. Hahaha He doesn't like that reasoning for wanting to have kids. :D

It was crazy how no matter what time we left for dinner, we kept being the last ones to show up. Hahaha Nice to see that someone else also had trouble with getting to dinner before their tablemates.

More coming now!

Thursday May 16th – Another Glorious Day at Sea, Palo and Quite a Scare

This morning I had set my alarm for 8am but ended up sleeping in until about 8:45. We had our Art of the Theme Show tour at 9:30 which I was really excited for so we needed to get up and get moving!

File0779.jpg

Good morning, ocean!

We ran up to Cabanas to grab a quick breakfast before meeting in Meridian for our tour.

File0780.jpg

Did I mention I love carbs and bacon? :D

We made it up to Meridian about 10 minutes before our scheduled tour time and got a seat by the window.

File0781.jpg

File0783.jpg

File0784.jpg

File0786.jpg

Our lovely tour guide

We started our tour with some information about the ship and then Meridian. I love how the seats look like old-fashioned suitcases with the straps and the wallpaper is made to look like different passport stamps.

File0789.jpg

I love this wallpaper

File0790.jpg

The first stop on our tour was Remy. I was super excited to see this space since we haven’t eaten there before.

File0791.jpg

Light fixture in the hallway

File0792.jpg

File0793.jpg

These seats are SO cool! I love that Remy and Emile are in the design. Do you see it?

File0795.jpg

I spy Remy!

File0796.jpg

I love these chairs. Ok, I think I love everything about this restaurant. So every picture, pretend that I said I love it! :D

File0797.jpg

Gusteau’s Dining Room

File0799.jpg

File0800.jpg

View from the dining room.

File0803.jpg

We left Remy’s and on the way out the Chef walked in. I looked at him and thought he looked really familiar. We left Remy and went down to a lower deck. Once we got there our tour guide told us that the Chef we just saw, was actually the inspiration for Chef Gusteau!! I knew he looked familiar! I saw him and he really did look EXACTLY like Gusteau if he wasn’t a cartoon. It was so cool!

File0804.jpg

Elevators are even in on the theme :)

File0805.jpg

So are the rest rooms

File0806.jpg

I love how the artwork corresponds to what you are about to see. Like this painting of Remy and Emile on your way to Remy. Our tour guide told us that, of course, that was all planned out.

We made our way down to Europa and our tour guide gave us the run down on the different bars.

File0809.jpg

File0810.jpg

First up was SkyLine Lounge, which we had already seen during our Mixology class but we were a little more focused on the drinks than the décor. :D

File0811.jpg

File0812.jpg

File0813.jpg

File0815.jpg

Map of all the countries that you “visit” while at the bar

File0816.jpg

Our tour guide let us know that the Imagineers put some Star Wars characters in the windows. I spotted a couple Jedis bowing to each other. It’s pretty funny to see in a scene of France.

File0818.jpg

File0820.jpg

Next up was the Tube.

File0821.jpg

File0822.jpg

File0823.jpg

File0824.jpg

File0825.jpg

Our next stop was Ooh La La. I was excited to see this bar since we hadn’t been in there yet this cruise.

File0827.jpg

Cute little plates

File0829.jpg

So posh

File0830.jpg

File0831.jpg

We then took our tour outside to a very windy deck. Our tour guide told us the story of how they picked the color blue for the hull of the ship. It’s a pretty neat little story. You may have heard it before so I will sum it up pretty quickly. They couldn’t find the color they wanted until a lady named Monica walked in the room wearing a pair of pants that were the perfect shade they were looking for. The blue is now called Monica blue. :)

File0832.jpg

Only Disney could make a lifejacket instructions sign cute!

Our final stop on the tour was the Atrium. Oh how I love that Atrium. :D I went a little nuts with the picture taking. I hope you don’t mind…:p

File0838.jpg

File0839.jpg

File0841.jpg

File0843.jpg

File0845.jpg

File0846.jpg

GORGEOUS!

File0847.jpg

File0848.jpg

File0849.jpg

File0850.jpg

Our tour had come to an end and I was kind of sad. It was such a great tour! I would absolutely do it again, even if they showed us the same places and told the same stories. It was really neat. One suggestion if you have never been on a Disney cruise or on the tour before, go on one of the earlier days of the cruise. They give you tips on how to tell if you are Forward, Midship, or Aft, Starboard or Port. Our tour guide joked that it would have been more helpful to take the tour on Sunday instead of the second to last day of our cruise. Luckily, I already knew the tips before the tour, but sadly I still got confused.

We finished our tour around 10:40 and then it was up to Satellite Falls for some sun. It was a little windy up there but not as bad as our first day at sea. We stayed there until around 1:15 and then grabbed some lunch at Flo’s. Today I was craving a hamburger so I had one and it hit the spot.

File0851.jpg

I also got a soft pretzel! Mmmm

File0853.jpg

It was at lunch that it really hit me that our cruise was almost over. :( I thought that maybe because we were on a longer cruise, we would be ready to get home but I didn’t want to get off that ship! It was also at this lunch where I confessed to Wes that I thought I was starting to like the cruises better than WDW. Say what?! I know. It’s blasphemy but the cruises are just so wonderful! Don’t get me wrong…I still love WDW but the cruises are quickly becoming my new favorite.

After lunch, it was back up to our seats for some more relaxation. I stopped to use the restroom and couldn’t resist taking a pic of the cute mirros.

File0854.jpg

I took some photos on my way back to our seats at Satellite Falls.

File0855.jpg

File0856.jpg

We were planning on staying on deck for a while longer but Wes started getting burned so we decided to go do the towel animal folding class. I’m very intrigued by all the towel animals we saw in our room. I actually just wrote a Blog article about them. Enter shameless plug here :D

The towel animal folding started at 2 and we made it to the Tube a few minutes late. It was pretty crowded but we found a spot in the back.

File0857.jpg

This next picture isn’t great but it shows you how far back we were from the instructor.

File0858.jpg

File0859.jpg

File0861.jpg

The first towel animal we made was a dog. Mine looks pretty good, I think. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be to make the towels stay in the formation.

File0863.jpg

That’s my dog

Wes was a real trooper tagging along with me to this class. He did a better job at a lot of the towel animals than I did.

File0864.jpg

Next up was a Swan. My swan is seriously sad looking. Hahaha I couldn’t get the neck to stay down.

File0865.jpg

Stop looking at me swan. (Billy Madison…anyone. anyone? :D)

Next up was an elephant. I did a little better with the elephant than with the swan.

File0867.jpg

My elephant

File0868.jpg

Wes’ elephant

I put Wes’ shades on my elephant to give him a little edge.

File0869.jpg

File0871.jpg

Towel animals made by the Host.

The towel animal class was pretty fun. It was a little chaotic with so many people trying to make the towel animals but it was neat to see how they make those awesome creations. I have a lot of respect for our stateroom Host! Those towel animals are not easy and take a lot of talent.

After towel animals, we went to La Piazza for some Disney Tunes Trivia. We did really well and got 44 out of 45. The only thing we got wrong was spelling Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I tried to remember the song from the Mary Poppins musical but I couldn’t get past the S-u-p-e-r-c-a-l-i…what comes after i? Hahaha Oh well, it was fun anyway.

File0873.jpg

Next, we went to 50 More Movies Quotes trivia in O’Gills. When we got there, we saw one of the couples from dinner! We had found out last night at dinner that they had been to the movie challenge on Sunday when we won. We waved high to them when we entered and went to find some seats nearby. I saw them talking to another couple and they were mentioning us. I said “Are you talking about me?” :p The other couple said that they knew who we were because they had been at the TV Tunes and first movie challenge where we won both. Hahaha Sorry :D

When we started the trivia, the cast member asked if the winners from the previous movie challenge were there and we raised our hands. We got some heckles form other guests. It was all in good fun though! We started the trivia and the first quote was a quote we had the other day. There were several people there from the first challenge so we all just kind of looked at each other when it was the same. She read the next quote and it was also the same. We all spoke up and said that these were the same quotes as last time. So after about 8 quotes from the first day, the cast member went to go get the other quote paper. She got back and started reading them and they were also some of the same quotes. She said there were only two papers that they used so she chose the second one and we continued. Overall, we had around 20 quotes out of 50 that were repeats. In the end we didn’t end up winning but we came in 3rd. We were excited though because our tablemates won the trivia! Woo hoo! If we couldn’t win, I was glad that our friends did.

We congratulated our tablemates for their victory and then parted ways. We had a little more time before we needed to get ready for our dinner at Palo so we went to the shops to get a few more souvenirs. I wanted to get another DCL t-shirt and I also picked up a Fantasy Christmas ornament, some kettle corn and some chocolate covered pretzels for my parents as a thank you for watching the dog. We purchased our goodies and then made our way back to the room. We had 6:30 reservations at Palo that we needed to get ready for. :D

File0875.jpg

We’re ready for a fancy dinner!

We got to Palo and checked in and then sat in Meridian to wait for our table.

File0876.jpg

I sent Wes out to the deck to take some pictures. I didn’t want to mess up my hair since it was windy out. :p

File0877.jpg

File0878.jpg

File0880.jpg

File0881.jpg

File0882.jpg

File0884.jpg

We only waited about 5 minutes before we were seated. We were given a lovely round booth towards the front of the restaurant.

Our waiter was Nikola from Serbia and he was so friendly! He had a great personality and was a really great waiter. He brought out the antipasto and we began our wonderful meal.

File0890.jpg

File0891.jpg

For appetizers, I got calamari, which I got last time too and Wes went with tuna carpaccio. I loved the calamari. Wes liked his but I didn’t care for it. I preferred my fried appetizer. :D

File0892.jpg

File0893.jpg

File0894.jpg

Palate cleanser…so fancy.

File0895.jpg

Love this view.

Wes asked Nikola what he recommended besides seafood for entrees and he suggested the beef tenderloin. It came with the choice of two different sauces but Wes couldn’t decide so Nikola said he could bring him both. I decided to go with the lobster ravioli.

File0896.jpg

File0897.jpg

I really liked the lobster ravioli but Oh. My. Goodness. The beef tenderloin was DELICIOUS! I wish I had ordered it, although, I really shouldn’t complain since I ate every single bite of the lobster ravioli. :D

For dessert, we decided that we each wanted to get a soufflé but I also wanted to try something else. So we got three desserts; two soufflés and a panna cotta.

File0899.jpg

The soufflés were wonderful and the panna cotta was just okay. We barely touched the panna cotta since the soufflés were so good.

Our dinner was coming to an end and we had such a great meal. The sun was setting and it was just beautiful. I picked up my camera to take a picture and that’s when it happened. “Cannot read memory card” You all know how that ended but it was pretty upsetting. I asked Wes if that meant I would lose all of my pictures and he said that it would be fine. I tried not to freak out because I didn’t want to ruin our wonderful dinner and the rest of our cruise.

We left Palo and headed back to our room so Wes could change out of his fancy clothes and so I could get a new memory card. When we got to our room, our Host was there cleaning our room. I felt bad that we needed to get in the room while he was there. Wes quickly changed clothes in the bathroom and I got my other memory card. We went up to Deck 11 to get some soda before the 8:30 showing of Believe.

IMG_1492.jpg

IMG_1494.jpg

It was different having an early dinner and going to the late show. There were so many more kids at this show than the early show. We picked seats that were towards the back of the lower level. We had seen this show before so I already knew that it wasn’t my favorite. I find the “Garden Grow” song somewhat annoying and yet I find myself singing it days after. :D

After the show, we headed back to the room. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do tonight. I was still really bummed about my memory card so I didn’t feel like doing anything. We decided that we would just stay in the room and watch a movie. We did decide we would go get some soft serve ice cream. I figured it would be a good chance for me to start taking some backup pictures, just in case I couldn’t salvage my other memory card.

IMG_1495.jpg

IMG_1497.jpg

Another shot of our door…just in case.

IMG_1499.jpg

IMG_1501.jpg

I love that there are Little Mermaid paintings on the way up to Deck 11 where the pools are.

IMG_1502.jpg

Wes loves the soft serve ice cream.

We got our ice cream and went back to the room to watch a movie. We ended up picking Atlantis, since I had never seen the whole thing. Sadly, I feel asleep during parts of it again. Oops. :D We went to bed shortly after the movie was over.

Tomorrow we were going to Castaway Cay! :D:D

I can't wait to read your trip report Jess!!! :D Congratulations! I loved your photos on Instagram! I haven't done the Eastern yet but we really enjoyed the Western destinations. The vendors were annoying but you can run into them anywhere that is a tourist destination. We still had a great time! I wish I was going on the girls cruise. :( You girls are going to have a blast!

Isn't cruising the best? We have been so impressed. I think Wes had 4 ice creams on the first day alone! Hahaha :D

It will be coming soon! I want to have all my wedding pics for you guys before I post and I'm still waiting for the ones from our wedding day :/ so it probably won't be for another month unfortunately :( And thank you thank you!!!!!! :) I wish you were coming on the girls cruise tooo!!!!! Would we that much more funner! (is that even a word? lol) We always couldn't wait to go back to the ship every day so i think we will enjoy the 3 days at Sea on the Eastern lol.

Yes cruising is the best!!! And I have to admit I've thought of that statement you made...I think I actually said it when we came back...that was the favorite part of our trip! We still love WDW though! We were sooo impressed, and when we got back to WDW we were like uh....we have to take our own plates now? LOL. we were so used to being pampered and it was only for 3 days! lol. hahaha Mike and Wes would get along well, we had two in our hand at one time a few times! LOL. How I could go for some Eye Scream right now....

Wasn't that Beef Tenderloin from Palo so stinkin' good??? OMG we loved it!

And questions about these ship tours you are going on...where do you sign up for that stuff? I wish we would have known that..granted we were only on a 3 day so not much time anyways...do they have a schedule of that somewhere? or is it just on the Navigators when you get on the ship the first day?

Ashley and Wes, let me start off by saying I am truly sorry you had lost some of your pictures from your memory card. I am glad you had a great time thou and the pictures and the trip report was great to look at and read. I hope someday to go a cruise but first I have to get up the nerve. Glad you both had a great time and didn't get to tipsy that you lost you tummy or fell down.

Your report will be worth the wait! :D I think funner should be a word.

I felt like I was cheating on WDW by admitting that I am starting to like the cruises better. Hahaha It's sad but true. That's what Wes and I said after our honeymoon cruise! We were like "Oh...doors don't open for us anymore." Hahaha Those cruises really spoil you.

We signed up for the Art of the Theme Show tour at Guest Services on our first day. We didn't do any activities on our first cruise except lounge around and watch movies so this time we decided to do a lot more! With the longer cruise, it was a lot easier to fit in more fun!

I love your palo pictures! You guys are a great couple. Thanks for sharing your report!! :)

Thanks! :D I'm glad you are enjoying it.

Thanks, Bruce. It was pretty upsetting but I am so thankful that I was able to save the majority of my pictures. It could have been a lot worse. :) The cruises are so much fun! I was nervous at first too but now I love them! We had some fun drinking but we kept it classy. This is a family cruise, after all. :D

Friday May 17th – Serenity and Blue Skies on Castaway Cay

Today was the day we visited Castaway Cay! Woo hoo! :D I was very excited for today. We woke up at 8am and decided to eat breakfast at Royal Court. We left the room around 8:30 and I took some pictures on the way, just in case I lost all of my other pictures. I went a little picture crazy today since at this point I still thought I had lost all of my pictures. I hope you don’t mind. ;)

We’re almost there! :D

I love this menu!

We had a nice table at Royal Court and we took our time eating since we couldn’t leave the ship until they made the announcement.

We finished our breakfast and realized we had left something in our room. Now, I don’t remember what that was, but when we got up from our table was when they made the announcement that we could get off the ship. Darn it. So, now we rushed up to our room to get whatever it was we forgot and then went back down to Deck 1 to enjoy Castaway Cay! I took a quick moment to take a picture from our verandah of people disembarking.

We disembarked around 9:30am.

IMG_1522.jpg

We made it!

We wanted to find some seats on Serenity Bay but first I wanted to walk around the island and take some pictures.

Gorgeous!

I turned around to put my towel down and realized that we had a great view on both sides of us!

IMG_1571.jpg

There she is!

It was such a beautiful day out. Serenity Bay was fantastic! We both took some naps and read.

I woke up from a nap and looked over to the right and you’ll never guess who was walking down the beach…

IMG_1579.jpg

“This is the tale of Captain Jack Sparrow!”

It was so cool seeing Captain Jack Sparrow walking down the beach at Serenity Bay. It was like he had just walked off the Black Pearl. I’m normally not a character picture person but I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to get a picture with the Captain Jack Sparrow on Serenity Bay!

At this point we were getting pretty hungry so we decided to go get some food. Of course, not without taking some pictures first.

We went through the buffet line and Wes started grabbing some grapes from on top of the food stations. He asked me if I wanted any fruit and I said, “I’m pretty sure those are just for display”. Hahaha :D We found the fruit at the other side of the buffet line and I just kept laughing that Wes stole some fruit from the display.

My plate with fruit from the buffet, not the display :D

After lunch it was back to our seats to enjoy some more sun.

Love seeing the Fantasy peaking through

We lounged some more and took the little beach chairs down to the ocean. A little before 3 o’clock a bar service guy walked by and said that there were 2 for 1 drinks. Yes, please! :D I don’t remember the name of the drink we ordered but it was very tasty.

We finished our drinks and then decided to make our way back to the ship. I didn’t want to leave but we had had so much sun that it was time to go.

IMG_1607.jpg

So long Serenity Bay!

As we were getting ready to get back on the ship, I saw Daisy with almost no line. I can’t pass up a character if they don’t have a line.

IMG_1654.jpg

I know what you’re thinking. Two character pictures in one day! Wow! :p Hahaha They were my first character pictures of the trip and they both happened on the second to last day.

IMG_1656.jpg

When we got back to our room, I decided to go down to the atrium to see the See Ya Real Soon show. I missed it on our last cruise so I wanted to check it out. Wes decided that he would pass on going with me so he stayed in the room. I left the room around 3:30 and figured that I would take some pictures while I waited for the show to start.

The atrium was a ghost town so I was able to walk around and take a ton of pictures!

I made my way up to Deck 4 to get a spot for the show.

I found a nice spot along the railing up near the future cruise sales desk. While I was waiting there, there was a little girl walking back and forth saying, “I am a Robot. I am a Tobot.” :D She kept walking like a robot and saying that line in a robot voice. It was really cute. I asked her what was a Tobot and she said, “I don’t know. It just rhymes.” Hahaha I chatted with the girl for a little bit and then it was time for the show to start.

IMG_1722.jpg

I’m never very good at taking action shots but with the new DSLR it made it a lot easier with the right settings. I was pretty proud of myself for figuring it out. :)

The characters spread out around the atrium for photo opps. Since Wes wasn’t with me, I just decided to stay up on Deck 4 instead of going down and trying to get some pictures with the characters.

IMG_1767.jpg

Poor Tiana had no line. She just kept twirling around. All I could think of was “I’m gone with the wind fabulous. Twirl. Twirl. Twirl.” :D (Real Housewives of Atlana…anyone? Anyone?)

IMG_1771.jpg

IMG_1772.jpg

They made an announcement that there was 10 minutes left for pictures so I decided I would try to run up to Deck 12 to get some more pictures before the show.

I tried to use the panorama feature on my phone but I couldn’t get it to work! I don’t know what I was doing but it clearly wasn’t working. Hahaha I started to make my way back down to the atrium to see the show.

IMG_1797.jpg

When I got to Deck 5, I could see that the show had already started. Darn it! It was exactly 11 minutes after they made the 10 minute announcement and yet the show was almost over. Either it was only a 1 minute show or their idea of 10 minutes is a lot different than an actual 10 minutes. Oh well. I found a spot on Deck 5 to catch the end of the show.

IMG_1802.jpg

I was pretty sad to have missed the little show but there was another one at 10:30 so I thought I would see if Wes would join me for that one. I went back to the room and it was time to get ready for the show and sadly to start packing. :(

We packed up most of our belongings and made our way to see our final show in the Walt Disney Theater.

I got a little teary eyed during the show since it was another reminder that our cruise was coming to an end.

We went back up to the room to do a little more packing before dinner.

Our meal tonight was in Animator’s Palace and it was Animation night! I was so excited for this!! :D We got to dinner a little early tonight since LaToya told us to get there early so we could draw our characters. We had to line up outside the restaurant and we noticed that one of our tablemates were behind us in line. Sweet! We finally wouldn’t be the last ones to dinner!!

A few minutes after we were waiting there, our tablemates came up and told us that they were going to enter through the other door that was closer to our table. I figured we should stay in line since the other door may also be crowded. Turns out the other couple was also at that door and we were the last couple to the table once again. Whomp whomp.

Wes went ahead to our table and I dawdled and took pictures.

I made it to our wonderful Table 98 and took my seat in the middle. :D Everyone had already started working on their animations so I got to work.
