Bridge to No Where?

We saw the previews on resort TV while visiting earlier this month. I mentioned to my wife that I never had heard of it, and she said she had not either. This coming from a woman who reads 5 books a week. I even went on to make the comment that maybe the book had not been written yet. :lookaroun

I look at it as Disney building up a character library to help support finally, one day, please dont stone me for mentioning this, but building the Beastly Kingdom at DAK. With their prior work (Dark Crystal, Narnia, etc.) this and maybe one more down the road, they would have enough "mystical" creatures to be able to support a stand alone land.

Just a thought.

I read the book in Grade 6 and really didn't like it, so I'm a bit skeptical...

However, the previews look nothing like I recall reading, so it might make for a good look-see.

Ugh, I keep seeing commercials for this movie and it just doesn't seem to have anything to do with the book. It's been a while since i've read it but I just don't remember the whole fantasy thing playing as big a role in the book as the ads make it seem.

Ocean's 13 also comes out this summer. There sure do seem to be a lot of third movies in series coming out this summer!

We have to see the movie here. My daughter has known Josh since kindergarten, So any movie that he's in we see and have on DVD. We support our local boy!!

Can anyone who has read the story of "Teribithia" tell me the general plot line of the movie?

I know some people say the movie looks different than what was in the book, but maybe it could help.

I'm confused on what will happen, since some commercials make it seem like Teribithia is an imaginary land where the kids go to solve their problems in real life.

Yet other commercials make it seem like this magical land of Teribithia has become real and too powerful, and the kids must stop it and uncover some "mystery".

Any help would be appreciated. :wave:
