Breaking Bad...

Both Walter White and Heisenberg protected their legacies tonight. Walter's kids get to keep their mother and get a load of cash. Heisenberg's legend gets an ending that makes sure he will be remembered.

Jesse killing Todd was just wonderfully cathartic. I almost yelled, "Yeah b***h!" at the TV when he started choking him. C'mon Jesse we aren't supposed to be doing your catchphrase for you.

Happy with everything in the episode. I wish he was able to settle things with jr. I hope skylar tells Flynn that walt did not kill hank. Happy Jessie is free never seen a charcter get handed such bad luck it a tv series. Sad to see it go but was a great ride.

It's so crazy that Jesse was originally supposed to be killed a couple episodes in! He was never supposed to be a MAIN character like this! And yet, he grew and changed as much as Walt did!

I DID yell when I saw Todd sit up! "GET HIM JESSE!!!!!!" And my husband and I BOTH cheered like we were watching the Broncos game again, when he did it! SO satisfying to see that Vulcan Killer die!!

Jesse so deserved a happy ending! I LOVE that he refused to kill Walter! He wasn't going to be Walters anymore. He wasn't going to do his bidding anymore!

I thought it was hilarious that the uncle was still trying to negotiate with Walt at the end. He didn't realize it was no longer about the money! They killed Hank!

I love that Lydia gets to die with the Ricin! As soon as she sat down and grabbed that packet of Stevia, I was like I WAS RIGHT! I was right!!! Hahaha!

I've never had a series finale, that was so satisfying! I don't know what I wanted to happen, but that was basically it! I wish I could know what happens to skylark at trial! Do they accept her bargain for freedom? Do Gretchin and Elliot really give the money to Walter Jr? Or does the idea of hit men watching them prove too much and they kill themselves? (Someone else's theroy)

And the way Walt died?? Perfect! He was in the meth lab....that music score was just perfect! And the police showing up, Walter was lite (sp?) up in baby blue!

At first I thought it needed MORE! Walter can't go out like this??? But as the camera panned back, and the music just washes over you....you're like....it couldn't happen any other way! It was perfect!

Could not agree with you more. In the beginning you rooted for walt. Then at the end you rooted for him again. I liked that he went out on his terms.

A friend of mine who really liked Dexter said it had a terrible ending. She hadn't liked it as much for a while, but really didn't like the end and said it didn't really end, but was at least better than the Sopranos (could any ending be worse?) She was suffering through pneumonia when she watched the last Dexter, though, so maybe that colored her perspective a bit. ??

She's in season 3 or 4 of Breaking Bad. Season 4, I think. The plane blew up and stuff. I promised her that when she gets to the end of Breaking Bad, she'll have an ending.

I think it was an excellent ending...and a very happy one, considering the show. :)

I was confused about the snow on the car in that scene in the car. Other than that, LOVED IT!

RIP, Breaking Bad.

The Sopranos ending confused me the 1st time I saw it, but that may have been me thinking the cable broke at first. But I re-watched the series not too long ago and the ending really fits in with the premier of that season where Tony and Bobby discuss death. Bobby says that everything is supposed to just go to black when you don't see it coming. That is what happens in the end. Tony is dead and didn't see the final shot coming. Since this is Tony's story the show dies with him and everything goes to black. After thinking about it the ending grew on me and now its one of my favorite endings.

@Britt - you were right about a lot! You called it! If I ever have to bet on a show, I'm calling you first!

I think they'll let Skylar off. She has the ticket to bargain. They have Walt. He's dead, but they can't think (or suspect or wonder if) she's helping him hide. Even if they prosecuted, she has that phone call. The call seemed kind of obvious, but raises reasonable doubt. I don't think any jury would convict her.

Gretchen and Elliot will give the kid the money. They have no reason to keep it and several reasons to give it to him. Skinny Pete and Badger were so funny, having their moral ambiguities quashed by cash. :)

I so totally know what you mean about Jesse. If they'd killed him in the first season...it would have been such a different show. I liked all the characters, but I cared about Jesse. Can't imagine the show without him!!

I thought that, too. Maybe he's dead and it just goes black, like in that conversation. I assume he was dead.

Still, like you, I thought that later. When it ended, I thought there was something wrong with the cable. It never really grew on me. The fact that the people who made it refused to clarify it was frustrating.

I thought the Breaking Bad final episode was so much better for so many, many reasons. Still confused about the snow on the car and am hoping that someone who is smarter than I am will figure it out and explain it to me or that it will be covered on the DVD set.

I read that they're auctioning off Walter White's underwear. Someone is going to pay thousands of dollars for his used underwear!!

I kept hoping for Walt, right up until somewhere shortly after the beginning of the last season. At some point, I don't know when (it wasn't like there was a moment), I kind of stopped. When he nodded his agreement to Jesse's murder (and then nodded, agreeing to the torture first), though, I really hated Walter White. Always a sucker for those full of sorrow and regret who attempt redemption, I rooted for him again at the very end. Not like I wistfully hoped and prayed for Jesse! But I was glad about Walter's change of heart and turn to God and all that.

The badass trunk gun didn't hurt, either. :D

I wonder if Huell went home yet. ;) Sure hope he's in the Saul show!! The white guy he was with when they were lying on the money - liked him, too.

I'm looking forward to the Saul show. :D
