Oh my god oh my god OH MY GOD! I cried in all the scenes holly was in after Walt stole her! They make these babies cry and I cry because of their fear and what they're doing to make that baby cry!

OH MY GOOOOOOD this episode was nonstop!

Meth Damon is hilarious. If he isn't Matt Damon in disguise, the resemblance is uncanny. Walks, talks, his head, stands like him. I keep thinking, "It must be Matt Damon," but realize how unlikely that is.

I'm thinking my way through here. Tell me if I'm wrong!

It was Walt that attempted to bargain for Hank's life. That shred of humanity still left in there, clinging to the rationalization that it was all for family, so the ends justify the means. The Heisenberg side would have known that if he freaking told them there was money buried, they'd have the money, no matter what. I thought of that line in "The Misfit" (I think that was the name of the story - I know it was a Flannery O'Connor story) where the woman tries to offer up money for her life and is told something close to, "Lady, there never was a body that gave the undertaker a tip." Heisenberg would have known that.

But Hank's death has acted as what Psych people like to call "a stressor." The old rationalizations may not work any longer. He may not be able to compartmentalize any longer. Everything is crashing in on him, manifesting in his physical fall to the ground. He must reassemble his logic.

It was Walt and Heisenberg who let Jane die. But it was also Walt and Heisenberg who told Jesse about it...and who insisted that Jesse be killed, as part of the original deal.

Walt tried to get his family, to make a fresh start. Every member of that family, in their own ways, said, "uh-uh. We don't want you." Walt and Heisenberg, fighting with Skylar.

It was Walt drawing on/faking Heisenberg on the phone, saving Skylar.

The two are struggling inside that man for control...back and forth, with the evil slowly taking over the good...they've meshed. The whole show has been a battle - Mr. White and his Black hat. But he hasn't needed the hat for a while. He's been able to slip back and forth very easily.

We know he goes back. He has to try to get that money to his family before he dies. He has to shoot that gun. Will he try to save my poor Jesse? (Jesse in the flashback, having been dragged unwillingly into cooking meth with Mr. White...goofing off, oblivious to what is going on, what Walt is doing and becoming.) Or will he just be ed that Uncle Jack stole his money?

It will be fascinating to see who Walt is in the end...and how he ends up!

Nailed it.

(And the O'Connor story was "A Good Man is Hard To Find", a classic.)

The episodes this week and next will be running over. I hear 75 minutes, with commercials. Set those DVRs! :)
Only other show I watch that is on tonight is Boardwalk Empire I think so it shouldn't be that bad tonight. Next week with Breaking Bad, Boardwalk, Homeland, and Revenge all airing at the same time is going to be a challenge.

Plus how will this effect Low Winter Sun, the show everyone obviously cares about so much more than anything else in TV

LOL! I'm kind of over the ads for that show. They do seem to push them, don't they?

The skinheads will be going after the tape tonight, I'm sure.

I sooo want Jesse to have a Happy Ending. Is that asking too much? I think the whole cast (except the baby and possibly Saul) will end up dead...but I think I'm going to need a shrink if they kill my sweet Jesse. :(

In fact, if Jesse dies tonight, I'm not even sure I'll watch the last show. But I don't see Jesse or Walt dying tonight.

Marie is so going to lose it over Hank's death.

I hope Jesse at least gets out of being a slave. :(

We know a lot of time has to pass before Walt gets the big gun. Maybe...MAYBE he will save Jesse and Jesse will go on to lead a happy life with Andrea and Brock.

It could happen. Stranger things have.

Poor Jesse.

Holy crap this is the greatest show on tv. I don't think anyone on tv has been through what Jessie has gone through. Episode might not of had the action like last week but man made up with emotion.

So much for Jesse ending up with Andrea!

I was so Mentally Prepared for a ridiculously hard episode and this wasn't too bad. It kind of amuses me that an episode which features a beloved slave's failed attempt at escape, followed by him (and us) being forced to witness the cold-blooded, cowardly murder of a single mother he likes or maybe loves...this was the break, lol. This was an easy episode, the kind at has me wondering if it is the calm before the storm.

Says a lot about the pace at which BB has been running that this was on the boring side.

That Vacuum Man...yeesh! I was shocked that he bargained down to one hour. I thought he'd say No, he wouldn't stay. That wouldn't have shocked me. But the bargaining...wow. That's one cold dude! Made sense, though.

What does not seem to make any sense is why guys who killed two DEA agents and stole a drug king's money would hang around the city. Not just hang around, either, but keep a witness to it alive and enslaved at their residence while forcing the slave to commit more crimes. Even the dumbest criminal would say, "I'm wanted by The Law and other criminals...think I'll get the heck out of Dodge!" Not these guys. These guys hang around, committing more crimes, for no good reason, waiting to get caught. Kind of unrealistic, IMO.

Both Walt and Jesse have sat inside cars, screaming, trying to help someone the Aryans were going to kill. But Walt summoned them.

My favorite line in the episode was Saul's "It's over." I really hope he gets that spin-off. I'd like to see it. Love Saul. :D

Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray The Lord my soul to keep.
If the writers kill my poor Jesse...
I pray, Lord, forgive my little crime spree.
Amen.

I felt bad for feeling like this one was boring @luv !!!! But you're right, I feel like this was the episode that gets us to that final place. Get us to understand where he's at mentally...where Jesse is at. How is Walt growing so much hair while on the Chemo? I'm not understanding that part....lol

This was more of a story telling episode. I'm curious to see if Saul emerges next episode!

WOW Todd....I watched Talking Bad after the show and he made a comparison that is soooo true! He's a Vulcan Serial Killer. He only kills when it's necessary. When he feels someone is getting in the way. Sooooo weird how cold he is!!!

I think Todd is supposed to be a sociopath. If the writers didn't read up on sociopaths and try to have Todd behave like one, they certainly stumbled into creating one.

The hair loss doesn't happen as soon as the drugs go in. It comes later. I am not sure why Walt cared to prolong his life at that point. Sitting around, alone, in one room, in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by bitter cold, with no TV, radio, Internet or phone for distraction...what is the point? Why doesn't he, as Junior/Flynn said, "just die"?

I don't know HOW they're going to wrap everything up and give us a solid ending in 75 minutes next Sunday!! (But as long as Jesse gets a happy ending, I don't care. I just need Jesse to have some happiness.)

The episode was not boring at all. It was great. It showed the death of Walter after the interview with Elliot on tv. Now all that is left is Heisenberg. The scean with walt and jr was emotional and so was Jessie and Andrea you do get stuff on tv.

I think boring was the wrong word to describe it! But after 7 episodes of heart pounding, gasps and feeling like you need therapy.....this one was a bit slower paced! I was HORRIFIED to find out I almost ALMOST fell asleep (it's been a long exhausting week! lol).

So I think boring was the wrong word to describe it. Just different paced, you know?

Yea different pace for sure. They have episodes like that in every season to set up those explosion episodes. The pilot episode was like this but then went crazy so we know the ending will be crazy. This episode set us up perfectly for Jessie vs Todd and Walt vs jack. Also looking forward to the walt/Elliot scean. Not sure how they are packing it in 75 min. I also hope that jr. Finds out walt did not kill hank.

Bleak is a better word to describe the episode. The quiet of the cabin and the hopeless of Jesse's hell on Earth situation just made the whole thing just really uncomfortable to watch. They were going out with a horrible whimper until Walt's ego drove him to go out with a bang.

I really don't know what I want to happen to Jesse. He deserves to be the one to kill Todd in the most painful way possible. But Jesse has no freedom from his misery when this is all over. A quick, painless death might be his only escape. Which stinks because he really deserves to be the one to walk away from all this, but with Andrea dead he is just going to be too broken to function I think.

Skylar having to swear she wouldn't tell, ever. Just like Ted said from his hospital bed, scared to death of Skylar. I started thinking, "She did this, too. Terrified someone. She had this coming." Then I get into circles of thought that I frequently find myself going through when thinking about this show.

The circles of of crime, punishment, sorrow, forgiveness, guilt, absolution, redemption...Breaking Bad raises more questions than it answers. At least in my little brain.

But most of it ends with, "I don't even care if he deserves it. I want Jesse to be happy."

The heart wants what the heart wants. (Am I now Unlce Jack?! Aaaaaaaah! Nooooo!)

I'm glad it is ending. I can't take much more.

Whatever happened to The Cosby Show?

Jesse Lives!!!!! Jesse gets his future!!!! He will be happy! And maybe, a woodworker!!!!

Walt dies and doesn't have to go to jail.

Skylar won't have to go to jail and the family will have money.

Marie gets to bury Hank.

Even Badger and Skinny Pete get some money. :)

All the nazis dead and that horrid Lydia will die.

And Jesse got to personally choke the life out of Todd.

A happy ending!!!! Yay!!!!

(Poor Huell, though...)
