Breakfast Help...

3 mornings I would like to have a sit down breakfast (out of pocket expense)

I have planned for Whispering Canyon Cafe for one mornng and would like one on the last full day at Magic Kingdom and one day not sure of so here is what I would like suggestions for:

Where in the Magic Kindom for a good breakfast?

And... I have scheduled a day at Epcot, Animal Kingdom and MGM so which of these parks would you think I would need a second day that offers a good breakfast? I was thinking MGM... and they just so happen have early EMH that day... what do you think? And if you agree with MGM... then where is a good place to eat breakfast?

The Crystal Palace or Cindi's Royal Table are your only bets inside the MK for a sitdown breakfast I believe. Crystal Palace is a character buffet and Cindi's is a princess breakfast.

The other parks Im not real sure about. The only sit down breakfast at Epcot that I know about is the Princess Character Breakfast in Norway. At the Disney Studios, Hollywood and Vine, there is a character breakfast with many of the playhouse disney characters. Then at DAK there is Breakfastsaurus Character meal with Donald et. al.

I don't think MGM is the best place for breakfast, but if I went, I know that the Playhouse Disney breakfast is there at Hollywood and Vine. Not bad.

I agree that Crystal Palace is good at MK.

If you have daughters or are into the princesses, Epcot might be the choice. If not, Donald's at AK or H&V at MGM are both fine depending on whether the family likes traditional Disney characters (donald's) or the Playhouse Disney clan (H&V). Food is similar. I think Donald's stops doing their character breakfasts permanently though around Nov 07.

There are many popular character breakfasts in WDW such as Chef Mickey's at Contemporary, Princess-Norway at Epcot, Cindy castle, etc., but a good non-character buffet breakfast is Boma at the AK Lodge.

Whispering Canyon Cafe was also kind of fun in its theme and interaction at the Wilderness Lodge as a non-character breakfast (it is non-buffet; but you can order a refillable grand skillet like O'Hana's).

Hope this helps.

Would you consider a MK resort? If so 1900 Park Fare at GF or Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. Both are a monorail or boat ride away from MK.

Not sure when you're travelling, but:

"1900 Park Fare will close for rehab July 9 through October 1, 2007. During 1900 Park Fare's closure, the Grand Floridian Cafe will offer a pre-plated character breakfast and dinner, "Supercalifragilistic Breakfast" and "Cinderella's Gala Feast." Also during that time, Citricos, upstairs at the Grand Floridian, will be open for breakfast and lunch with a menu similar to the cafe's. Citricos will also resume dinner seven days a week. (It is currently closed Monday and Tuesday.)" found on allearsnet.com

Boma at AKL also serves a breakfast buffet

Nice way to start your days!

My recommendation at MK if you want to dine in the park is the Crystal Palace. OR stop at Chef Mickey's or Ohanu's off the monorail and then head into the park. They are great as well!!

Well it seems Crystal Palace at MK for my second breakfast is the winner :sohappy:

But my 3rd breakfast is still in the air... AK I have to watch because my daughter has Lupus and we have to watch her sun intake. Epcot has never been one of my favorite parks, just because a majority of it is comsumed with all the countries (which I never got into).

Nothing else in MGM for breakfast? MGM to me has always been the park with the majority of rides compared to MK that is. But the Playhouse Disney I doubt would be of interest to my 2 teen daughters (19 & 17).

I really would like to try someplace we are not already going to for a meal. So far for our trip this is what I have planned for...

Breakfast: Crystal Palace, Whispering Canyon Cafe (undecided on the 3rd & others will be breakfast in room <-- bringing cereal and bowls)

Lunch: Roaring Fork, Flatbread Grill, Boulangerie Patisserie, Tusker House Resturant, Pecos Bills Cafe

Dinners: Crystal Palace, Hollywood Brown Derby, Le Cellier Steakhouse, Chef Mickey's, Trails End Resturant, Tonys Town Square.

Hmmmm... maybe have room service bring us breakfast?

Edit: We are leaving next week... June 17th - June 24th

Have you considered breakfast at POR (Boatwright's)? The food there is excellent, and we've always had great service. BTW, I noticed that you're going soon. Have you made ADR's for any of these yet?

Well, all dinners I have ADR's for, none for the breakfasts which I was going to do today because I didnt realize we needed them for breakfasts. Im crossing my fingers that I can still get them.

I was trying for a park to cut down on travel... I cant imagine having to get up early, head to another resort for breakfast and then have to travel from there to a park... I dont know... just seems wasteful.

What about these at MGM: ABC Commissary or Starring Rolls Cafe?

If neither of those has a good breakfast then myabe I should consider room service or opt for Chef Mickey's since it is so close to WL ?

Good luck with that then - it could be difficult.

Sorry if I am butting in, promise not trying to take the thread over, but I have my own breakfast questions and didn't want to start another thread that was almost identical.

This will be my first year doing the DDP, I have all my dinners planed out. Liberty Tree at MK, San Angel at Epcot, Sci-Fi at MGM (girlfriends request), Cali Grill, and Boma.

I am unsure of how to use my left over credits to get breakfast and lunch taken care of. We only have three days in the parks, so any suggestions out of the park would be great as well. Like snack places that you can get enough for a breakfast. Just hoping that I don't have to come out of pocket much. I know we will have a frig in the room, but no way to cook, so I thought of fruit and stuff like that to keep in the room. Anyways I will leave it up to you guys.

I absolutely agree!

Boatwrights has an excellent breakfast with wonderful service and a great price. If you are driving, it really wouldn't take that much longer to eat at a resort prior to going to the park. Taking the busses might be another story though. Either way I say Boatwright's is worth it.

Also, you might want to consider Kona Cafe, it's in the Polynesian and on the monorail loop, which makes for easier access.

Keep in mind that most of the character breakfasts usually offer similar buffet-style food and you've already scheduled one, so you might want to go for a resort restaurant for variety!

Whichever you choose... ENJOY!

Close to MK: Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary has a character b'fast w/ Mickey & Friends:slurp:
'Ohana's Best Friends character b'fast is held at the Polynesian
Epcot: Princess Storybook in Norway has a character b'fast w/ Princesses
Close to Epcot: Cape May Cafe' at the Beach Club resort has a character b'fast
AK: Donald's Breakfastosaurus :slurp: has a character b'fast until 11/2/07, then the character b'fast will be moving to the Tusker House Restaurant
MGM: Hollywood & Vine has a character b'fast w/ Playhouse Disney characters
Of course, you don't have to attend a character b'fast.
