Definitely. I remember having the signature drink there in 2010 or 2011 so it could have been earlier
Thanks. :) AllEars.net reports that 2009 was the first year for Brazil

I just wish that Disney would realize that people really have a thing for Brazilian and Indian food, and there should be some permanent establishments in the parks. Seriously, if Epcot gets an Indian restaurant or two, can you imagine how popular it/they would be?

Both Brazilian and Indian foods have incredible regional variations you could create half a dozen restaurants and not duplicate a single item.

I was incredibly spoiled my first year of college because the town (which becomes a ghosttown when the students leave) had not one, not two, but three Indian restaurants. I moved back home to go to school, and there are zero Indian restaurants (though there are a couple of great Lebanese places). There are 3 Indian restaurants in the city I work in, but it's population is almost 13 times the size of that tiny college town.

Long story short, I really miss having Indian food within walking distance. If Disney had 3 Indian restaurants at Epcot (2 QS and a TS), they could be the most popular at the park.

I thought the ide of Spice Road was great, unfortunately food pricing make this one a hard sell. It is usually a walk in, but then again, you are not going to get a real meal there either... The tapas portions are very small and if you are sharing it will take a lot to feed everyone.

Speaking of this restaurant, and it's placement on the lagoon side, makes me ask, regarding this possible new country to the showcase, will it come in with a presence on the lagoon from inception? Taking away further viewpoints of whatever the nighttime spectacular will be?

As things stand the sea wall area shouldn't be affected too much. Not like Mexico or Morocco..

Pardon the intentional lack of grammar but I sure do loves me some korma!!!

Sanaa is really one our favorite spots despite it being just as good as our local Indian spot. The sauces available for the bread service is one of the big draws. I think the addition of Indian would be great! Heck, I would go further and add Vietnamese and thai!

My dad's got a picture of the belly dancer from every time the family went to Epcot...

Sounds like your dad and mine would get along fine... whenever you talk to him about the Hoop Dee Doo review, the first thing he always brings up is about how the one actress sat on his lap and sang on not just one visit, but on two.. and always with a big goofy grin on his face as he tells the story...

As a Brazilian, I would love to see a Brazil pavilion on WS. And I think the brazilians would be very proud to see a Brazil pavilion in there (Im not talking about the tour groups in July - most of them are teenagers and they could care less about it - Im talking about brazilian families visiting Epcot throughout the year). But I don't think they would pay Disney prices for brazilian food they can get a lot cheaper in Brazil. However, I can see a Brazilian Churrascaria being one of the top restaurants in WS, filled with americans, canadians and europeans.

Although I'd like to see Brazil at Epcot, the way our economy/politics are right now, I'm sure our governement will not spend any money on a project like this. Private companies maybe, like Fogo de Chao sponsoring a restaurant, Havaianas sponsoring a store, but even so, Disney would have to spend a lot of its own money on building it.

I hope Brazil makes it to WS one day, but I will have to see construction begin to believe it!
