Thank goodness. The kid will be glad to get out of there too. He's totally out of room in there. He's always stretching now and his little butt sticks all the way out my right side

Awww.....I use to tickle my stomach where Joel's feet were - always made him move  He hated it when I would balance a cup on my tummy though - always kicked it off.

Morning Samie! What's on your plate for the weekend?

Hey Steph! Yay 1 more week!!!! :sohappy: How are you feeling lately?

Not much actually, going out tonight with the crew not sure where yet. Reading Harry Potter Half Blood Prince and just relaxing I think. I really want to see Up so maybe that will happen this weekend.

YESSSS! TGIF! Finally. How are you today?

Good, good. The one order I had for today just fell through which of course I'm not happy about... :lookaroun.

How about you?

So....Joel has been picking out Disney vacation planning DVDs to watch the last couple of days, and we've been talking about what we can see on vacation.....can't afford to add any more vacation days, but we may need to tweak the itinerary a bit. Right now we have a 5 day hopper, because we were planning on a DtD trip our final day instead of going to a park....now I'm not sure if we should do that.

We were going to pick them up from school at lunchtime on Friday the 20th, and they would miss a total of 2 1/2 days of school....now I'm wondering if we should just leave early Friday morning and drive farther that day, so we get to AKL earlier on Saturday......I don't know!!! :hammer:

I usually do the DTD as my last day too but I never have a whole lot of time on the last day.

It may be worth it to leave a little earlier on Friday so you have more time once you arrive on Saturday? Will they really miss that much at school if you make it 3 days vs 2 1/2?

We're doing DTD our last day this time around, and then finishing it off with an Ohana dinner.

I think that sounds like a good idea. I know whenever we left for long trips like that as a kid we always left early early in the mornings. My dad would carry us out to the car still sleeping in jammies and then by the time we woke up, we were way down the road already :)
I usually do the DTD as my last day too but I never have a whole lot of time on the last day.
That's what I do too. Save most of my shopping for that day so I can get a good look at everything over the trip before I commit to purchasing much :king:

Well, I know here on a Disney board, I'm always going to get encouragement to stay longer  I will certainly have to talk to DH and see what he says. From what I remember from last June, we made our first day's goal somewhere in SC just after we got to I-95 from 26, and then arrived at Ft. Wilderness sometime early-mid afternoon.

Anywho, boy is claiming the 'puter....be back later today.

Glad you're feeling alright. You're in the home stretch now!

On the 2 or 3 family vacations we took as kids- my dad would do the same thing- we would leave at like 3am and get a good jump on the drive.

I save my "big" shopping for the last day that's when I usually do the most damage. Ironically if I wait and try to buy a lot at once I don't spend as much as if I spread it out through the whole vacation.
