You know what's frustrating?

I have paid my car pmt. every single month on time...without a problem. I still don't have a problem. I can afford my pmt.

What happened though was they went from sending out a statement every month, to a statement every 3 months with coupons. Usually when I got the statement, I'd put it on my calendar and mail it when it got to that date. Last month...I'd forgotten to put it on the calendar, since I didn't get the pmt. statement, I'd already had it the month before.

Yesterday, I got a statement telling me that I missed my payment. No problem. I understand...I mailed the payment in today on my way to work.

Well, while at work, I get a phone call telling me I'm past due. I tell them I mailed it today. They tell me that's not good enough. My payment has to get there within 5 days or it will be past the 30 day window and ruin my credit. I have to make the pmt. over the phone. The problem...I don't have my checkbook with me to give them the info. So, I had to get ahold of the bank then to get the info.

My problem with the whole thing and the part that angers me the most...they said they mailed the late statement the day after my pmt. was late. Which would have been the 8th of last month. That should have taken like a week or so to get to me...let's give them the benefit of the doubt...week and a half...let's put it then I should have gotten the letter on the 20th.

Why then, did I get the letter on June 1st? If I had gotten the letter earlier, this all would have been avoided. Two...I got 2 phone calls from them yesterday at work...(I saw the number pop up) but they hung up both times. If they'd talked to me...I would have made the pmt. over the phone yesterday and I wouldn't be out another payment...which of course will go to the next month's bill, but still...that's money that I could use now...you know?

((HUGS)) Do they do online transfers? I don't pay any bills anymore harly through the mail. It's a lot easier to remember.

Yeah, I know how that is and I see your point. Thats why we switched to doing evrything online. I hate mailing my bills in. :brick:

Yeah...I can see how that would be advantagous...but not everything that I pay can be automatic...so, I'd rather pay them all by mail, then have half go online and half not. It keeps it so my sanity is safe.

And I wouldn't have missed the pmt, but they mailed them in a group of 3 last time. After years of it being mailed individually. It's easy to see how someone could forget the first month.

And I really just needed to vent...it was just so angering to know that all of it could have been avoided, had the few things that should have happened (on their end, yet I'm the bad guy since I accidentally missed one payment...when I haven't missed any other ones ever...) have happened.
