Bouncebacks

This questions is for anyone that has been to the world recently and stayed on site. Did you get bounceback offers that included 2011? We are going in September and hope to get a bounceback offer that we can use for August of 2011. Thanks for any input you have.

I'm pretty sure the offers I've seen have gone at least a year ahead, lots of folks have talked about reserving the same time frame the following year. If the offer card in your room doesn't offer the dates you want, call anyway and ask if there are offers available.

When I was at POP from 5/16-5/23 the offer was only good thru the end of the year. I'm also hoping the offer goes into next year on my upcoming trip at the end of Sept. Last 3 Septembers the offer has been for at least a year out.

When we were at WL in April, there was no flyer, and I asked mousekeeping if there was one, which they answered "No". However, the day before our departure, I received an email from Disney with a bounceback. I had checked in online and choose the option for Disney to email me while on vacation, so keep an eye on your emails while you're there too.

Let me ask this, if you book on a bounceback and then have to change (not cancel) your dates, does the offer transfer dates as well or are you out your deal if your dates have to change?

Good question. I was wondering the same. I'm heading to the World Aug 25th to Sept 7 on the Disney Visa free dining promo and last year they offered a bounceback with the free dining. So, I was hoping that they'd do it again this year but, I wasn't sure what dates that I'd go next year.

So, do I just pick a time period and hope that I can adjust?
Someone once told me that on a bounceback you can alway subtract days but never add some. So, I'm thinking that I should (if I can) make my bounceback for 14 days so I can alway reduce my stay.
Can someone clear this up for me?

We have only booked one bounce back which we are taking in 62 days so i dont have the answers. but I can tell you this when you have to make any chagnes to a BB trip you have to speak with the BB department. The normal CM at 407-WDISNEY can not help you. I would think with changing dates it would depend on availabity. I am hoping there will a BB on this trip.

I have done the bounce back the last 2 years. Last year I added a night with no problem at the POR. This year I tried to add a night and felt like it was too expensive for one night at WL. So I asked if I could add a night or 2 at Pop instead and they said I had to do 3 days.

I believe you can change your bounceback offer as long as the dates are available. For example, we booked bounceback free dining last year for 2010. The dates can be changed as long as the new dates fall within the time frame of the bounceback free dining offer.

I believe the key is having a bounceback reservation. The dates and resort aren't that important, but as long as you have the reservation showing that you are eligible for the bounceback, then you can change the dates and location of the resort, as long as they are available.

Do you have to qualify for a Bounceback offer?

This may be a rookie question, but do you have to visit WDW a certain number of times within a certain period to qualify for a Bounceback offer? Do you have to book your trip through Disney? We just spent a week at WL i February to celebrate my 40th birthday, and we booked the trip through AAA. We want to go back next October for my wife's 40th birthday, our 10 year wedding anniversary, and to celebrate my five-year cancer-free anniversary, and are looking to open are wallets even more and stay at BLT....so any kind of Bounceback offer would certainly help.

Thanks in advance!

There's only a couple qualifications: 1. You have to be staying a Disney resort, 2. You have to book your future reservation on or before your last day of your reservation 3. Bounceback offers have to be occuring while you're staying at the resort.

That's it. It could be your first time at Disney staying at a value resort and you could make a future reservation for a deluxe. Also just because the bounceback only mentions one class of resort, doesn't mean it's not available for another class.

Thanks for the info! I guess I'll be on the lookout for the 2011 offers and saving my pennies until next October.

We went in April and we received a bounceback offer email the day before checkout, which was also the same as the bounceback advertisement that was sitting on the table in our room. It was for 40% off the next stay if booked before we checkout. When I called to inquire about it, I was told that it does not include 2011 since 2011 rates are not available until August and therefore, they cannot book a stay for 40% off of a rate that isn't known yet. However, I was told that what they can do is have me book a fictitious stay for sometime in 2010 to hold the bounceback code for me, and then in August, when 2011 rates come available, I can just change my dates over to whatever date we actually plan to visit in 2011. When I called back again to inquire further and actually take advantage of the offer, I talked to a different CM and he verified what the previous one had told me. So I talked to two different CMs who told me that I could book a fictitious trip for 2010 and then change the dates over in August and still be able to take advantage of the bounceback code.

Others on this site have expressed doubt over the accuracy of what I was told, since the bounceback offers have specific dates. I was unaware of that at the time (or simply forgot in my excitement of booking the Wilderness Lodge for what essentially amounts to a moderate resort price, LOL) and when I double checked the email offer, it did, indeed, specify particular dates in 2010. So I guess I'll find out in about a month and a half if I can get 40% off my room under this bounceback code, or if I was told a load of bull.

In your case, though, since you're going in September, 2011 rates will be available by then, so any bounceback offer would surely include 2011. However, if it is as it was for my offer, there may be specific dates on the offer and your trip date may or may not be one of them. On the other hand, if it turns out that I can, indeed, get my 2011 stay for 40% off, regardless of what dates the offer actually specified, then it could be that they just don't enforce those dates very strictly.

^^^ Thanks for the great update. I can't wait to see if we get one. I hope we do. I would like the 40% off a deluxe. We have neve stayed in one but at that discount I would consider the Comteporary Tower or Poly.
