Trip Report ***BOOM, DONE***No, Its not Déjà vu. It’s just that time of year again…the 20th surf ’n turf part deux. And we’re live now!

You were with us for the 16th, 17th, the epic bungalow 18th, the 19th, and the 20/40 so why not...do it again.

I went back and forth on covering this one, TR fatigue has been biting me in the butt lately. I figured, though, that with the amount of new things we are considering for this trip it may be worthwhile to give it another go. With that, lets get the formalities out of the way for the newbs:

Who: @imahistorygeek and myself
PhotoPass_Visiting_STUDIO_411483977463.JPG

What: Surf 'n turfing a 4-night Disney Dream
When: Oct. 20 -27
Where: AKL, Dream, AKL
Why: Well, going to the bubble in the Fall for our anniversary has kinda grown on us. We will be at sea for our actual 20th!

As I alluded to we had some decisions to make for this trip like:
Drive or Fly
Palo or Remy
MNSSHP or Jiko
Get off at Nassau or Stay on the boat?
Homecomin' or Homecomin'

Watching The Muppets Movie now as I write this... can you really watch this without singing!?!? A filet of fish, hey!

Mas details to follow, like how many have signed up for the beer exchange!

Glad you're there!

OMG, were those Christmas decorations already in the Magic Express area at the airport?! Or were they Halloween ones--hard to tell from that distance photo.

Another question -- if a guest does not have a smart phone, how do they get into the room? Does the front desk give them a plastic card with a chip reader? Just curious.

Homecomin in the books and still awesome!
We were seated in probably my favorite place here. I really enjoy watching the hustle of the kitchen!

Food was excellent and the mac n cheese are worth a visit alone! I ended up helping her a bit since her plate was huge.

This bottle was full when we started...i like hot sauce.

They are Halloween decorations.

Presumably they have a magic band that actually works, we hardly ever do though. Guests still receive bands for visits, the door access via the app, to me, is just another avenue of access for guests. From what my wife says this getting to be standard hotel practice now.

OK YUM! We are going there for the first time in November... and we are so torn on what to get... a couple apps... or those thigh high biscuits and 1 entry to share? or maybe the ham biscuits and chicken dinner to share... too much to choose from!

Holy cow, that is a LOT of food!! I'm starting to think DD can share in a LOT of places, and maybe we could swing one extra ADR in with our dining plan. It's just so much!! That chicken alone...and that doesn't like like a small portion of mac and cheese, either. Is it as big as it looks?

YES! Their menu is tough to pick just one thing, so much good food. Their apps are huge! Heck, the mains are huge too.
:hilarious: Sean, we think these things but were not supposed to say them outloud!
Where is the fun in that?

Yes, its that big. The M&C bowl was around 6" across. Another thing I like about their thighs is they are all boneless making them very easy to eat.

Slept well last night and AK doesn’t open til 9:00 so we had the luxury of a relaxed morning. We decided to hit up Sanaa for breakfast today.

We saw several animals but i wasn't quick enough with the camera. The food was excellent and we left stuffed.

There was an AK bus waiting for us when we reached the bus stop and we were quickly off to AK.

We’re staged up now for James Cameron’s Soarin. The weather is beautiful and we’re excited about our first Halloween party tonight.

That breakfast at Sanaa brings back some wonderful memories. I love that bread and Nutella. And with the looks of that Soarin line we need yet another plague.

BTH is still probably the best QS food, maybe all food, offering in HS. The weather is absolutely great! Some sunshine and cool breeze is making for a wonderful day.

We shared the Marlin porter, Red Seal ale, pretzel, and charcuterie board. What sets BTH apart is they continue to rotate the taps AND the cheese offerings in the board so repeat visits are not stagnant like at Nomad Lounge.

We’re on the bus now headed back for a costume change for the party. Waited all of 5 minutes for a private bus back to AKL.

Fun costumes! :D

Glad you posted pics of Sanaa breakfast. Oddly enough, in the TRs I've read here for a few years, I don't think I've seen mention of breakfast at Sanaa--lunch, definitely, but not breakfast. Anyway, your breakfast looked very good.
