Trip Report ***BOOM, DONE***No, Its not Déjà vu. It’s just that time of year again…the 20th surf ’n turf part deux. And we’re live now!

You were with us for the 16th, 17th, the epic bungalow 18th, the 19th, and the 20/40 so why not...do it again.

I went back and forth on covering this one, TR fatigue has been biting me in the butt lately. I figured, though, that with the amount of new things we are considering for this trip it may be worthwhile to give it another go. With that, lets get the formalities out of the way for the newbs:

Who: @imahistorygeek and myself
PhotoPass_Visiting_STUDIO_411483977463.JPG

What: Surf 'n turfing a 4-night Disney Dream
When: Oct. 20 -27
Where: AKL, Dream, AKL
Why: Well, going to the bubble in the Fall for our anniversary has kinda grown on us. We will be at sea for our actual 20th!

As I alluded to we had some decisions to make for this trip like:
Drive or Fly
Palo or Remy
MNSSHP or Jiko
Get off at Nassau or Stay on the boat?
Homecomin' or Homecomin'

Watching The Muppets Movie now as I write this... can you really watch this without singing!?!? A filet of fish, hey!

Mas details to follow, like how many have signed up for the beer exchange!

You guys look awesome!
Fun costumes! :D

Glad you posted pics of Sanaa breakfast. Oddly enough, in the TRs I've read here for a few years, I don't think I've seen mention of breakfast at Sanaa--lunch, definitely, but not breakfast. Anyway, your breakfast looked very good.
Hahaha I love those costumes! Perfect! I wasn't even guessing your costume earlier, just responding to the pic you posted. Nice!
Costumes are fantastic!!
Great costumes!!!
Had to google a few sayings to figure out your costumes. I must be “older than dirt”cuz I didn’t know 😂.
Hope you had a great time and enjoy your cruise 🚢

Thanks, all! The costumes were a hit at the party! We received many compliments and even asked to take pictures with a couple of kids who “knew who we were”. I’ll post a few pics from last night in a bit. Right now we’re enjoying breakfast on our balcony, should be a habit over the next 4 days. I went down to get some Sanaa togo and made a friend.

While in the lobby I noticed a model of The Dream and had to stop and get a pic of where we will be staying.

Sean's in the process of telling you all about the party. I thought it was great! Tons of candy, great shows and parade! This is my favorite parade and I loved the parade song. Space Mountain was an awesome experience and actually a little scary.

In all, it's something I'm glad we did, but it's not a repeat performance. There was just too many people.

Honestly, MNSSHP was your deal so I'll leave the critiquing to you. Here are are a few pics from the evening.

Being DVC members we were able to enter the park and get our bands 2 hours prior to regular ticket holders. We arrived at 3:00 and there were already many people queued up for their 4:00 entry time. Main street was beautiful and it didn't seem to busy.

We grabbed some caffeine from The Bucks because we still had another 9 hours before this night would end. While in line we got our first compliment from a gal who took a couple stocker photos of us. We walked around a bit and found ourselves getting our pirates on followed by some BTM.

We grabbed our candy bags from the station near Philharmagic and decided to stay for the show. We were getting hungry now and it was 5:00 so we decided to go see if SC had any availability when we noticed an unbiased documentary on world history was taking place so we stopped for a bit to enjoy. All hail Georgette Washington!

After our history lesson we checked on availability for Skippers Canteen, it was an hour wait so we said "No Thanks" and made our way to Pacos Bill. This was our first time back since they rui...changed it. The menu is "meh" and we went with the chicken tacos. They were ok and took the edge off but we had some dessert goals in mind and made our way to Sleepy Hollow.

Thankfully Disney hasn't screwed with this treat, other than raising the price of course, since our last visit. At $7 you still get essentially two churros and a huge scoop of ice cream, very good...for Disney

After that we bounced over to SM and sat in the queue for 30 minutes only to have the ride go down right as we got to the gate! It ended up being down for a good 2 hours as was PotC! The DW had one character goal and that was Elvis Stitch so we queued up for him and had a great interaction.

After stitch it was a combination of rides and candy stops the whole night. The Tea Cups with the MNSSHP overlay was a must for the DW as well so we made our way there. It was fun ;-)

We did get back on PotC with the Gunpowder Pete "enhancement". We also ended up seeing both parades, kinda on accident, as well as the fireworks. Both were very well done. I took a few videos from the parade. The lighting where we were was not very conducive to good picture taking.

Thankfully after the last parade SM was back online and we were able to ride it. Holy crap, SM in the dark with loud music is AWESOME!

We closed the park out and were fortunate to only have to wait less than 10 minutes for a bus. We were back in our room and in bed by 1:45. We had a decent haul of candy but honestly stopped going to candy stations because we had more than we needed already.

We'll be heading to our Disney Cruise bus shorty. Might see one or two more updates before we go silent for some R&R.
