Booking from Canada with Kingdom Konsultants

I've read a lot of good reviews on Kingdom Konsultants (yes I realize they sponsor this site so I'm not looking for anyone to bash them or anything)

I've checked out with other sites and found that most people felt that the planning was done well and the cost was very reasonable but everything I've found so far has been from the U.S.

Can anyone tell me if they would do bookings for Canadians? If anyone has experience with Canadian bookings with the Konsultants i would like to hear from you.

Also, I'm not sure i understand the relationship they have with Disney. Are they a "Disney" company or an outside agent authorized by Disney and how do they manage to book without getting commission?

Thanks
El

They are a travel agency, and they are paid commission by Disney for their bookings.

They are not part of the Disney company.

They do not charge any fees for their services.

One thing to keep in mind, if you are from Ontario especially, (other provinces may have their own laws), Ontario has a set of travel laws to protect the consumer called TICO. If you want to be covered, you may want to book with a TICO certified agency.

If you don't care about that, you can book with any US or Canadian agency.

If you are a member of CAA (the canadian version of AAA) check with them. They do a lot of Disney booking. Personally we have never used them but I have heard they are good.

Thanks, I am a CAA member I always forget they have a travel office. I think I'll price through a few different places as cost is a determining factor of whether I can go or not

In many cases, you will find, that for basic package components such as room and tickets and dining, that if you are comparing apples to apples, your pricing will be identical between agencies.

Also be aware that Disney will not allow you to have more than one discount at a time, so for example, you could possibly get the CAA room discount, but if you were to go during the free dining period, you could get the free dining promotion, but you would lose the CAA room discount...

I thought the free dining program was only if you had a Disney credit card. I could be crazy and just remembering this all wrong :hammer: (wouldn't surprise me)

I plan on going within the first 2 weeks of September. I believe that's low or "value" season. Where can I find out when the dining plan is offered for free?

You may very well get a discount booking with CAA, I would ask them. AAA here in the states gives discounts on all Disney packages all year long. KK is excellent, as is Small World Travel & I use Magical Travel, also excellent service. None of them charge a fee and will watch your reservation for discount that may come available during your time of travel which is something you would find really hard to try and do by yourself. The 3 agencies I listed are all "Authorized Disney Vacation Planners" which is a title given to those agencies meeting all sorts of special requirements by Disney themselves. So I would look for that logo on the any Disney Travel Agent web site.

They will book your dining for you, your airport transfers, etc. They will also keep an eye out for Canada at Par which Disney, on occasion, has been know to offer.

Hope this helps you....

I'm sure someone from KK will be along shortly to introduce themselves, but in the meantime....
They do book for our Canadian friends, they also book with AAA or CAA discounts...but can't offer the AAA/CAA packages.

One of the big reasons people like them here is that they are always reachable for changes, additional information, and best of all, personal attention. They also are much more knowledgible about all things Disney and can make dining and activity reservations. The average AAA/CAA agent sells the package and that's it.

I'm from BC and I'm using KK for my next trip. Elizabeth from KK has been helping me plan my August trip. She has handled everything from my flight out of Seattle, my booking at AKL, and all of my restaurant reservations. Elizabeth has been amazing and I feel extremely with her comfortable and KK. :)

Thanks so much. I'm glad to hear you're having a good experience with them AND that they can do Canadian bookings. With all the positive reviews (on this site and others) I think they'll be the choice for me

I use their services for everything but airfare. Air is better booked yourself on-line anyway, it's no cheaper through agents. The rest is better through KK, they update your bookings to take advantage of applicable new discounts 'automagically', they'll let you know when packages are announced that might benefit you and most importantly, they'll take care of any ADRs or special event bookings seamlessly. If the specific agent you deal with isn't available, they'll tag-team your file so you'll always have phenomenal service.

[needless to say, I've been impressed!]

An Authorized Disney Vacation Planner or Earmarked agency has basically done 4 things:

- met or exceeded a 2 year sales revenue average for Disney
- 50% or more of its agents are graduates of the College of Disney Knowledge
- the agency has dedicated itself to selling the Disney product as a first choice for a family vacation
- promised to participate in 4 Disney promotions each year

The free dining was offer for booking by visa card holders two days before the general public could book it. You can now book free dining without a disney visa credit card.

Why's that?
Because when setting up a toll-free number the costs go up the larger area you allow to use it. It's conceivable that KK's number is CONUS-only and the same number dialed from Canada could reach a Canada-only toll-free number for plumbing supplies [as an example... I've never dialed it from here :p].

Our toll free number does not work when dialed from outside the US. That's why we tell our clients who have to call us outside the US to use the direct line which puts you right through to either Elizabeth or I most of the time.
