Book now?

We're going next April and I booked about a month ago. So you can book now for 2007. Whether or not you actually need to book now for next summer, I don't know, but I do know it certainly wouldn't hurt. I know that some things book up fast, so it's better to be safe than sorry. You have to put a deposit down which you can get back if, later through this year, you need to cancel. Although you would probably be safe to wait a few months, there is nothing to be lost by going ahead and booking now, and then you know for sure that you have your room. But I don't think you can book for next year online yet. I had to call the number and book over the phone.

Booking

You may not be able to book through the Disney web site. However, by calling WDW you can book now. I have always found them most willing to take my money no matter how soon I wish to give it to them!

I started planning my Feb '07 trip in early May. I wanted Contemporary Tower MK view, but none were available when Marie tried to book [unless I went Concierge]. I got a Garden Wing with a king-size bed initially [price wasn't confirmed, but was based on '06 rate], then she found a Garden Wing with two queen-sized beds and a fixed price. Now I'm just waiting for packages for '07 to be released so I can change the booking to a MYW package with DDP. If I'm lucky, some Tower MK view rooms might become available...

Short answer, yes you can book your room in advance...

Room only reservations can be booked over the phone. If you have a particular resort & type of room you want, you should book. Last I have heard, MYW packages will be available to book by the end of July. If you book a room only now, you can change it to a package when they become available.

Heading for the great escape.
We can book from the UK, infact we are already planning 2007 because No1 daughter has decided she wants to rejoin the family holiday and wants to know how much she will need to save.

I booked for April 2007...

I booked my room for April 2007 already, but you have to call, it's too early to book on-line. The representitive told me that 2007 packages would be available July 1st, and that she would even call me on that day to book my package. We always book early, it gives us more time to save$$$$ and for me, when I have it booked I get really EXCITED!!! Good luck...Have fun planning... :D

I would think that the latest the 2007 package rates would be released would be July 4th. That way if you book on Jan 1st you get the 180 day period for ADR's. July 4th to Jan 1st is 180 days. Make sense? It wouldn't be fair to the early January bookers (like me) to not get a full 180 days:D

You can book at least a room up to a year in advance. They only want the first nights room price as a down payment. Which means you can pay thru the year and have it payed off long before you get there, at the same time save money for when your there.:D Have done it before and will do it again. It may seem like alot but when you can pay over a long period of time it is more affordable.:animwink:

You only need a room only reservation to make ADR's. Room only reservations can be made more than a year in advance however the rate my change. If you want to book a MYW package your reservation can be changed once they are available.

You can make ADR's without room reservations.

True, but if you have a reservation confirmation number, you can book for your whole vacation 180 days from your first day in the World!

These days, that's a significant advantage!
