Yes, there is a pirate float this year (the dalmations are gone, as well as the 'hoedown' floats.)

(I also have a video of the horseman, trying to figure out how to upload it, I'll make a seperate post when I can figure it out.)

Wow, that's cool. The HM butlers dragging the shovels on the pavement and creating sparks is a bit weird, but cool. It's also neat to see the Spectro balls being used in a different way. Can't wait to see this parade...some day.

Could never figure out the hoedown floats at the end of the past couple of years' parades..........just figured they were there to offset the "scariness" for the little ones, and have a happy ending.

Question for you guys. This will be my first time at MNSSHP and much to my chagrin it looks like we will be going either on Friday the 28th or Sunday the 30th so I know it is going to be crowded. Where is the best place to go to hear "Sleepy Hollow" (providing they still do this) and watch the parade and how much in advance should I arrive to said location.

I knew I forgot about something last night... Oh, well. I'll gladly shell out the money for a ticket or two this year!!!

Last year there was a storyteller right by the Liberty Bell. We sat on the ledge by the "stock" (I think there may be a flag there too?). Anyways - he starts telling the story about 45 minutes ahead of the parade so get there about that time. Because it's a weekend - you may need to get here 1 hour ahead of time. We had a pretty good view because the parade comes right at you if you are at this location. The only thing was the Headless Horseman came so fast, we didn't get much of a chance to see him before he turned the corner and was gone.

Thats the bell ringer we were wondering about as well, I hope he is there this year. Last night during the preview the Headless Horseman ran through 15 minutes or so before the grand marcials, then the grand marcials (sp?) came through after that, then the parade was about 15 minutes after them.
