FYI Boba and Mando would both be in their 70s. Grogu would be 75... just remember Yoda became a jedi master at age 100. Seems like grogu won't be a baby considering it takes 10-20 years just to become a knight
They’d both be in their mid-60s, because Mando is estimated to be late 30s and Boba is 41. But even if they were in their 80s I don’t think it prevents anything from making sense, and if anything, probably better-explains why they’d be retired to taking pictures with sweaty tourists.

That is what I want to do when I turn 80. Take pictures with sweaty tourists.

Boba Fett was born in 32bby (before battle of yavin). The force awakens is in 34ABY. So you are right he is 67 years old for galaxies edge

I don’t think anything’s trying to be like Avengers Campus, and for good reason.
I get that you don't like the place and won't spend time there, but as someone who goes regularly and spends 6-8 hours at a time at the Campus because there's always something new and different happening that I don't want to miss, agree to disagree. :) This move was clearly a response to the success of the constant character additions and updates at Avengers Campus.

And as noted in my other comments - things AC has that GE hasn't and needs desperately:

unlocked timeline
all the characters with constant updates and additions
multiple shows with constant updates and additions
merchandise for all characters in every iteration (doesn't matter if comics, MCU, D+, AC, etc. - it's all there)
epic theme music soundtrack
attraction that everyone can ride ;) (again, people here like to look down at Web Slingers but it's a fun attraction that all ages and those who suffer from motion sickness can ride and participate in - I'll never be able to go on either GE attraction but have enjoyed Web Slingers multiple times)

So while you can continue to disdain AC, it still has plenty of things that GE doesn't have and should.

You would have a point if there weren’t plenty of other lands, both in DCA and in Disneyland, that also have characters roaming around. Characters are added to different lands all the time.

AC doesn’t have everything on your list, and yet you praise it, which is fine, that’s your prerogative. Your comment regarding Web Slingers is relative. How do you know that ride doesn’t make others sick? You may not get sick on it, but that doesn’t mean others don’t either. Similarly, Rise and Smugglers may make you sick, but it doesn’t mean it effect everyone else, too. They are still family rides.

Sorry but AC is the worst land at DLR and it’s not even close. Ok maybe Hollywoodland gives it a run for it’s money but that’s it.
And to compare it to GE is nearly a waste of effort. I don’t even like GE like that and it could use some additions, but I can give credit where credit is due and it’s leagues better than AC. GE at least has a Star Wars aesthetic and very good rides. Attractions and aesthetics are two of the some of the most important things when creating and executing new themed lands, in my opinion.

I agree. I think those are very logical ways to judge a theme park land. Characters and “entertainment” are complimentary to attractions and placemaking. If attractions and placemaking are the burger and fries, characters would be the salt on the fries.

Using your metaphor, AC is mostly salt in a meal. Unimpressive.

And if we’re going to talk about potential non family-friendly rides between the two, Mission:Breakout is arguably number one on that list.

I’m sorry I just can’t get that excited about salt without the food to put it on. Lol.

Yeah Mission Breakout. The ride that’s been there since 2004. Haha

It's about time they made these changes.

Here's what bugs me, the land was advertised for years to be this in depth interactive role play event with tons of actors and characters.

If that ended up being the case, having a timeline would make sense:

However they dropped 99% of the interactive elements but still kept the restrictions, even when they have 40 years of Star Wars characters they can't use.

Galaxy's Edge is a good lesson on what happens when you take a themepark land too seriously, but don't even commit to it.
