Here's the interview that aired on CNBC a few hours ago. This is rather painful to watch, and Mr. Chapek looks like he is about to throw up. Their words and talking points are very predictable, but this is still really weird.

This is plain ridiculous to watch. They're dressed exactly the same, first of all. Bob Jr. with his bulbous bald head apparently spray-tanned by the same guy who does Donald Trump, is seemingly unaware he is being filmed until he is addressed. The look on his face is that of disgust, whether with the interviewer or maybe he really did feel like he was going to puke. Still, he is exactly the same as he always comes across in interviews--unlikeable. All the while, the cartoon Mickey wallpaper is in total disagreement with these two boring fellows.

That’s just poor roll out on their behalf! I don’t blame people for thinking there is something afoot. This wasn’t well handled and usually Iger is smoother than this.

Yes, this entire thing is messy. And it makes it seem like something bad is lurking just under the water. If there really is nothing nefarious or upsetting going on behind the scenes, and if Mr. Iger is in fact still in good health, it is disappointing that this was handled so poorly.

A perfect summary of this painful interview!

You would think the world's most successful entertainment company would have coaches to train and tune their senior execs who go on national TV, but from this video it is obvious they do not. Or at least Bob Chapek has been skipping his training sessions.

And I love the moniker Bob Jr. Brilliant. That's what I'm calling him from now on.

Speaking from experience, Disney absolutely requires media training for the C-suite. The fact that both Bob's looked so uncomfortable during the interview should be even more alarming knowing that fact.

Didn’t Bob Iger also know and do nothing about John Lasseter’s behavior? Even going so far as to have a hired babysitter for him at public functions?
Iger just put him on a 6 month paid leave then Lasseter left the company after that. The one situation Iger had no choice was when the former ESPN President got busted by his cocaine supplier. The cocaine dealer was willing to talk, then Iger met with the ESPN President and Iger forced him to resign which he did.

I hope the best to Bob Iger in his step down and to Bob Chapek to lead Disney. Mr. Chapek I hope one of your Social Media Account Assistants reads this and forwards it on to you to read. Please understand that the Disney Corporation made a name brand that has always set the standard for theme parks everywhere. You will see people gripe about everything and anything on these boards. Some gripes feel frivolous, but it when the standard drops, or something is cut for the bottom lines sake, that is when you should be listing to the gripes. You have to not only answer to the board members and to the share holders, but also to your guests. In the end, Disney has created a vacation where you can prepay your trip, and then pre plan with the Billion Dollar gamble of MB and MDE, so each vacation can be a tailored magical experience. With the cost that has been set for a vacation, your guests will demand the highest standard by Disney. I wish you luck, and a magical day.

Now who named the terribly named "Rise of the Resistance", "The Sea With Nemo and Friends", and "Pixar Pal Around" rides.
Well I assume Marketing from LucasFilms named Rise to coincide with the Rise of Skywalker, basically name recognition with the movie.

Seas was done prior to Iger being CEO as it started in 2003, so I assume it was Eisner.

As for Pixar Pal Around, I assume that was a Bob(s) decision too....
