Disney getting out of first-run syndication (at least outside talk and news) was on the wall when the daytime version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire? ended.

Yeah the "little " people are never the headline. Merch also lost people in the first round including ones with 20 years with WDW. If you read through the LinkedIn posted it's heartbreaking.

I would imagine, and I know there would be those who would disagree with me, that as part of this cost-cutting/layoff spree, Disney decides to sell off 20th Century Studios and 20th Television (which would start by Disney splitting their film and TV production units in half, with the 20th side being separated). Again, it’s only a belief. It depends on what will finally happen to Hulu, especially in all this mess right now. I would disagree with Disney keeping 20th just for content licensing, if they changed their mind on Hulu, because that would make the licensee (say, Netflix or Amazon) have to feed money to a "greedy hog" like Disney just for licensing. (I want 20th Century Fox 3.0.)

I think the point is that numerous well paid executives are part of these cuts, so the idea that only lower level folks would be impacted and higher ups would be protected doesn't seem valid.
Never said or insinuated any such thing, merely the upper level would be last to feel the pain. Numerous? Not really unless you are thinking is really small numbers.

They should get rid of the new CMs they hired after the pandemic instead of anyone with 20 years experience. I've never seen such a poor bunch of magic free individuals as I saw on my last trip.

If I decide to leave my much-loved professional job at Disney, where I'm highly conscientious and much more productive working remotely, over Iger's blanket edict, can I come work at your company?
Is your job and your team still safe for now?
