Sorry Judge, I was merely using the Uni example as evidence to further the case why Dinosaur and an Indy clone could coexist at WDW which is on topic.
That's judge doom, son.
Shame, shame, shame. Ding.

A few people complained, but Uni isn't held to the perfectionist standards that Disney is, IMO.
People who follow Uni parks know the reason why Transformers was added (has to do with an unused plot of land, taxes and drawing crowds to another new attraction besides Diagon Alley)
Having Transformers in one park and Spiderman in the other is really no different then when Disney had Body Wars in Epcot and Star Tours in DHS. Those two rides where about as similar as Tranformers and Spiderman and was made "worse" by the fact that Star Tour and Body Wars opened withing a few months of each other. Can you imaging if Disney did that today? People on these boards would go crazy.

They have spent billions over the last decade. Mostly on refurbs and unglamerous behind the scenes infrastructure. It was done this way so that when the time was right they could add major content to the parks. As you now see happening at DAK and likely the Studios.
It was the only way it could be done. Any othey strategy in turning around TWDC could have actually caused WDW to be sold off in pieces. As was rumored by some insiders.
Sad that so many can't see reality through the silly smoke screen memes on these boards.
IMO.
Here are a few more:
11. Disney Springs Completed along with new exit from I4
12. Various Resort refurbishments and the competition of WL DVC
13. New Innoventions West attraction
14. MK Hub completed along with new TS restaurant in Adventureland
And that's fine - we all have our personal preferences. Just understand that your personal preference is pretty unique to those of us who sit around and talk about these parks on the Internet, and is a "uber-fan" focused idea. Most people think "Why would I go to Disneyland - I've already been to WDW" and vice versa, and in fact expect similar attractions at each resort.
Give up trying to convince the throngs here of that. I had to do for my own sanity. They're going to harp on how terrible it is at WDW and how no money ever gets spent for decades to come.
It's been obvious for a while now that major infrastructure improvements were the goal, presumably due to a recognized need to add attractions afterwards - but I get told how wrong I am all the time. Then again, here's a $3 billion dollar expansion coming, a figure that blows my mind - I was expecting closer to just 1 or 2 - after being told repeatedly here that WDW would probably never build anything again - at max a ride or two.
I can see them closing imagination to save money, and doing a new 3d movie (inside out) instead in the theater. Then the ride would sit dormant for who knows how long, we all know how that turns out....lets hope not though but dont put it past them.
Its probably going to take a sponsor to do anything there, even though that wasnt the case with nemo into the seas.
Or we have some rumors that are corroborated by several different sources that will either come to fruition or not.You have an ANNOUCEMENT that even the insiders like say actual work is about a YEAR away, A lot can happen in a year, What would impress me would be if they added a TSPL and had it open by the holidays, No it's not a great attraction but it's cheap and easy and would say more than any PR piece 'This is REALLY going to happen'.
Instead the only solid plans are to close 3-5 MORE attractions at DHS including people eaters like LMA and BATB, To me at least that says more cost cutting is planned not more SPENDING.
well... the differences are quite apparent.. all related to 2 things..Just remember, your preference for something "unique" is not shared by the vast majority of the public that they will never know what is unique or not, as most of them will never visit both resorts on opposite coasts in their lifetimes.
you quoted the wrong reply just fyiYes. For example, Lucas got shares when he sold to Disney, but TWDC didn't need to issue new shares, they just used treasury stock on hand from previous buybacks. They could buy a whole lot of IP with the amount of buybacks they have been doing in the past few years.
I wonder if when Pandora opens.. we will get the SAME WOW..

I dont think #3 would cause TWDC company to go poof. They will probably just sell some assets that they think are disponsable.Possible Scenarios
1 - TWDC is about to announce a major corporate restructuring
2 - We are coming up on the end of the FY (Aug 27) and the numbers are not rosy enough so layoffs to make the numbers look rosy.
3 - The 'Conspiracy Theorists' are correct and TWDC's is about to join the long list of companies which went 'poof' after cooking the books for years.
things actually WERE (and kinda are) still bad at WDW..Give up trying to convince the throngs here of that. I had to do for my own sanity. They're going to harp on how terrible it is at WDW and how no money ever gets spent for decades to come.

and you know this.. because?I know people are putting it off, but I have it on good authority that a new show is indeed coming to Epcot. Look for it next year.
Well, I dont know about you, but Festival of Fantasy definitively was top notch for me.Remember people over those years Iger lost the ATTACHMENT....many people simply have no desire to go to WDW because NOTHING IS NEW....wrist bands, parades and shows are NOT what develop attachments.....and Iger has had his butt handed to him as other parks and venues leave Disney in the boredom syndrome. Sorry that is what has driven long time Disney fans crazy. THERE HAS BEEN NO REASON FOR IT!!!! PERIOD.
