Boat from WL

We will be making our annual trip to WDW soon and we are staying at The Wilderness Lodge. On our last morning we are planning to go to Chef Mickey's for breakfast. I am wondering if there is a boat that goes directly from WL to the Contemporary. Otherwise, would the best way to get there be to take the boat from WL to MK then get on another boat to go to Contemporary? And how long would this take in the morning to get there and to come back? I need to plan enough time to get there and back before we have to get on the ME bus. Our reservation is at 9:20 AM. Any info. would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

If I remember correctly from my last trip, we took the boat from WL to the Contemporary, then the monorail from the Contemporary to MK just so we could do both modes of transportation
It's a nice boat ride, very relaxing and great views. Judging from the times on my photos, the ride itself was about 20-25 minutes, but remember to factor in waiting for a boat.

yes there is a resort loop boat; WL - Ft Wilderness - Contemporary
and an MK direct boat.

If I remember correctly the resort loop boat is smaller than the MK boat.

Have used the launch several times. A very early reservation (which a 9:30 is not) can be difficult. Fog stopped the launch a few years ago when we had an early reservation. You should have no problems with the time you selected.
The launch is much more suitable for your needs. Enjoy the ride. Takes only about 10 minutes if you catch the launch coming from Ft. Wilderness - but you need to check the routing - I check the day before (with the launch personnel) since I found that the Resort personnell are not always as knowledgeable as you would think.

I'm under the impression that the boats that go from Contemporary to WL and FW are seasonal. If you're going soon, meaning summertime, I'm sure they will be up and running. If for some reason they're not, then the quickest/easiest solution would likely be getting a boat to MK, then walking to Contemporary, UNLESS there's no wait (or a very brief wait) for the resort monorail to start its loop from MK; the first stop is Contemporary.

I have used the boat throughout the month of December.
