I think Speed Stick is only a deodorant.
For Florida you need an a.m. shower and a good anti-perspirant/deodorant.

Ha, I understand that a morning shower is necessary. I always take care of this part of the equation. This has been a 'problem' in the regards that I have to carry deodorant with me on occasion, but in the regards that my smell repels all individuals in a thirty foot radius.

Secret Clinical. It doesn't have too strong a "girly" smell and my dh has used mine in real sweaty moments. It works great. He's even used it before PT and ruck marches and his arm pits aren't yucky when he gets back.

I've never had an anti-perspirant make any noticeable difference in the amount of sweat generated, so I stick with deodorants only. On days I expect to be particularly sweaty, I'll use the deodorant under my bare arms and under my shirt arms.

If you want to stop sweating, buy Certain Dry. You will never sweat again once you use that stuff. You put it on at night before bed and you can apply scented deodorant in the morning. You won't sweat at all, and you won't smell. Its some pretty heavy duty stuff.

Kinda funny you should mention this. I've worn Degree "shower Clean" scent since it first came out. The first 10 years or so Degree was a unisex product. So you can imagine my reaction when they made that scent for women only a couple of years ago. I still use it because it's the same product since the get go and I love the scent too much to stop using it.

My husband uses Right Guard. It works pretty good for him. This is actually an informative thread. :dazzle: We are in the deep south where the humidity is terrible. This thread is a great public service! Kudos to the OP!!!:sohappy:

I always wear a white under shirt even if you get ridiculously wet underneath, your outer shirt looks dry and maybe it keeps the smell in.

In addition to my deodorant/anti-persperant (TAG) I wear Under-Armor (courtesy of a GREAT wide world of sports clearance sale) and that stuff keeps you TREMENDOUSLY cool, which of course leads to less perspiring.
