An article came out discussing Carnegie Mellon ETC students involvement in the Spaceship Earth postshow.

In breif - they're designing video games for the postshow, ones which introduce people to Siemens, are meant to be played casually for up to 30mins, and are aimed at kids 10-14 primarily.

I wouldn't take that to heart...it's not directly from Disney and I have seen national news agencies mess up theme park names in their articles--even ABCNews will sometimes get the names of the parks run by its parent company wrong...

should it be open by my trip (see signature below)?
There`s no official date yet. This project has been one of the better kept quiet ones.

Does anyone find it ironic although Siemens are in the medical sector, part of the post show will concentrate on health care? "Folks, if you don`t look after your body you may end up abandoned just like the $70million dollar pavilion 700ft to the east"

I can't decide if this sounds like a unique attraction or a rehash of the former AT&T Global Neighborhood using videogames to sell its products...

I dont know if this has been posted here yet or not, but 2 weeks ago when I was there, the lady at the beginning said that Seimens welcomed us aboard spaceship earth, so I thought that was new.

I know its not news news, but its always the small tidbits that are the best.

And if you do drugs you end up like the attraction across from the laugh floor.

In particular, this attraction will take the form of several exhibits that relate to health care, transportation, and energy. It will occupy 9000 square feet.
Well that part sounds great! Sounds like a return of talking about big subjects, like in the Epcot Center of old. Let's hope that isn't just a cover for neat products that are already invented. That seems to have replaced what Epcot Center was about. Big world-wide topics like The Land, Transportation, and Energy.

At least there will BE a post-show again...I t would help it was focused on communications, as the ride has a bit of a theme there, but I'll be anxious to check it out, no matter what they put in there.

The media usually refers to Epcot as "EPCOT Center" because they think that it's technically the park's name (it's not). No matter how Disney chooses to re-brand the park, the mainstream media remembers the original EPCOT Center, and many journalists disregard "Epcot" as a shortened version of the real title...similar to referencing the President as "Bush" or the "White House."

Interesting tidbit: The technical information for the TTA at the MK still refers to the attraction as the "Peoplemover" because its patents are under that name. As it stands now, Disney could rename it the Oriental Express, and the government would still call it the Peoplemover.

I bored myself. :snore:
