Biggest Eyesore at WDW?

Nice. A recent enough "safety feature" that almost everyone should remember it pre-nets. I read some lifestyler on the internetz who made the claim that the nets didn't impact the view right after they went up. What a load of crap.

What exactly are those nets for anyway?

To keep the Tree of Life branches from falling on guests....since they have a tendency to fall off the (fake) tree.
Come on now. One part of a branch fell. They don't know why exactly that happened. The net will be there until, at least, they figure out what went wrong and if it is likely to happen again. It's not like it happens every couple of minutes. Once! But once is all it takes to get somebody hurt.

1 partial branch falling off the tree is 1 partial branch too many. Completely unacceptable.

And if it can happen once, there's nothing to say it couldn't keep happening, or that it hasn't happened since then without word getting out.

Did it actually fall on anyone? Did anyone get hurt? How long ago did this happen and had it been addressed? I had no idea!!!!

the Swan and Dolphin hotels always bother me more than anything else. ..I feel like they just do not fit at all. ..im sure I'm in the minority but I actually kind of like leave a legacy
I agree. Swan and Dolphin are the biggest eyesores. What a waste of prime real estate!

If we could dig into the past the biggest eyesore in the history of WDW has to be the cake castle.

We were there first hand in '96 to behold it in all its' confectionous flabbagastery. It was our first anniversary and my wife's first trip. We were both so disappointed that on such a momentous occasion that it looked like that. I know some liked it but imagine never having seen it in person and looking very forward to it and then looking down main street USA and seeing the pink nightmare...ugh. Still it was a great trip and I will always remember it as the creciendo of Epcot.

How is it no one mentioned the uniforms the CM's who clean the restroom are blessed to wear? those lovely aqua and white shirts and shorts with black shoes (mostly) and white socks make me cringe thinking about having that on after working hours.
