Since this thread has swerved towards obnoxious guest behavior, here's my pet peeve: People who wear T-shirts with profanity on them to the parks. The worst one I ever saw was worn by a guy who looked like a typical grandpa. What's the older generation coming to?

People who were vulgar as younger adults tend to age into vulgar older adults. Old age does not confer class on the classless.

I was thinking about this yesterday. I saw a guy at AK once who had a shirt with a big ink pen on it that said "My Pen Is Huge". Well a Security Guard saw him and said "Man there's no WAY I'm letting you in this park with that shirt on. This is a family place and you can either turn it inside out or go get a new shirt and come back". The guy was really embarrassed because he was this wannabe cool guy with two other girls and he got totally owned by that guard. I thought it was awesome and that guard deserves a raise.

What ever you do, do not tell people about the characters just a guy/girl in a costumes anywhere in Disney property. It's understandable at non amusement parks for example, but there's something about guests saying that in public especially with children around can ruin the magic. That's like telling young children about the existence of Santa Claus by an adult and teen perspective.

For a better example look up the Kayfabe effects it's a well-known term by wrestling fans.

My daughter got sooo cross with a little boy who tried to tell her they was just dressed up people! She was only 6 really thought she was meeting the princesses, what upset me was boy's father sat laughing instead saying ssshhhh let her be! Thankfully I hav a rather stubborn child you point blank refused to believe him and argued just as good back!

Oh, I have seen way worse than any of those there was a women at HS , with her whole family, wearing a totally sheer blouse with no bra and just two of those round Mickey Mouse stickers that were "strategically placed". I was just dumbfounded she was allowed in like that and that her family was not mortified.

We ate at the Primetime Cafe tonight and we always look forward to it. Well tonight there were these idiots from south NJ that were sitting at the next table from us and they were SUUUUUUUUUPER loud! I mean I've never seen a more obnoxious family and I go 3 times a year. I was dumbfounded by their complete lack of self awareness. At one point the little boy jumped up and slapped his dad in the face and they were just laughing about it! The WORST thing though was one of the women had on shorts and you could literally see her butt. I mean they rode so low on her that her butt was completely hanging out of them. I asked for the check as early as possible and took the CM off to the side and told him that his service was great but I just HAD to get away from those morons. I've never seen anybody like that at Disneyworld. He told me that most people from southern Jersey act that way. If anyone on here is from southern Jersey, PLEEEEASE don't EVER act that way! Ruined my whole experience tonight honestly.

I'm from southern New Jersey and I've never seen people act like that. Unless you live in small towns that have shoes hanging in wires (Salem County).

I moved to South Jersey from the Chicago area a little less than two weeks ago and I have yet to see anyone behave even remotely close to what you've described. Within two days of moving in, I had one of my neighbors introduce herself and her family with a homemade pound cake in hand. They looked straight out of a Ralph Lauren catalog. In fact, I had the most polite uber driver the other night. He opened the door for me, repeatedly asked me if I was comfortable and wanted to know what kind of music I liked, so he could play it on Sirius. I have seen some absolutely horrendous driving, but boorish behavior? No, my experience has been quite the opposite.

Biggest pet peeve on Disney's end: a lot of CMs aren't well versed in what's going on around them. For instance, we went to Captain's Grille, but got there too late to be served breakfast. We asked the CMs if there was any place else nearby to get breakfast. They suggested Beach Club Marketplace, which we knew was no longer serving. We walked away and found out that a lounge about 20 feet away was still serving. We find this tends to happen a good bit where CMs aren't knowledgeable enough to answer questions that they should have the answer to. I place the blame at Disney's door for that one.

Biggest guest pet peeve: People who send one member of their party to wait in line for their whole group, and then the rest of the group cutting through the line to catch up. Meeting up with your party in line because your child decided he/she had to go to the bathroom while waiting in line is one thing. Having someone wait in line for you and then pushing past everyone to catch up is certainly another.

Glad your daughter didn't let the kid affect her,I also hate that, i'ts kind of like the parents who let their kids run around saying there is no santa, thats up to the parents to decide for their childnot for your child to run their mouth. I would have apologized and yanked my kid out of there if she has been telling stuff like that to another child.

I refuse to allow this. I don't care what their excuse is or how many there are (short of a child coming from the restroom). They will need to find another way around. Two teenage girls tried this garbage with us once on TSM. They kept walking past people behind us saying "Sorry. Sorry. Just catching up with our family." They got to me and I did not move. They said their BS line to me too and I told them to go back out front and watch for their family and the next time they decide to split up before a ride they need to wait until the entire group is together. They tried to push past me and I stayed put telling them "NO" again. They went back a little bit and started ducking through the railing. That sent all sorts of people over the edge and a CM had to intervene. They escorted both girls back out of the building telling them that they needed to wait for their family outside. Quite a few people started clapping for the CM. (One of the ONLY times I have ever seen a CM do anything about line cutting.)

Another thing I hate is Dad's that insist on holding their kids on their shoulders during parades and fireworks, especially those that show up at the last second and do it. We had been waiting for Wishes for a while one time and right as it was starting this guy stops right infront of everyone hoist he daughter who was big had to be 7 or 8 years old on his shoulders and he was tall probably 6' 5" and it blocked everyones view, and people started yelling and e responded with "We just found her she was lost" okay so that gives you the right to block everyones view because you lost your kid, not our faults. The crowd was getting really angry and finally a cast member came over and made him put her down which made him mad and they left and the whole crowd into applause,

That makes me mad too. I'm six foot four and I'm consciously aware of how much space I take up if I stand in front. My wife is pretty short at just 5 foot tall. Her and my children would always try to get up front so they can see and I will always step as far back as I can so that I'm not standing in front of anyone. It's just the right thing to do. I may not be able to watch fireworks with my family but ethically my conscience is clean.

I don't like this either. I don't mind if parent have their kids on their back piggy back style, that doesn't block the view because it is more like two people standing next to each other.

-Parents who don't know their kids' limits. Of course a kid is gonna demand staying out late to see everything! But you're the parent, you gotta have the judgement to bring them back to the hotel midday to have a nap, or early enough in the night to avoid a miniature meltdown. It's weird coming home from Fantasmic and seeing exhausted literal babies being obviously cranky about being up that late. I know you wanna make as many memories as possible, but sometimes you gotta pack it in early and turn on the bedtime story channel for everyone's health.

-People who stop in line. Do I keep going and risk them getting mad at going in front?? Do I wait and hold up the line even more?? WHAT DO I DOOOOOOOO?
