Just rode that today. That crane is pretty freaking big. I wonder if, as part of this complete refurb, they repainting every square inch, repairing every effect, aging any running water effect, along with the third lift hill improvements.Here are a couple photos with the crane more upright:

They are going to want a crane that can reach as much of the track as possible from that location, although I am not sure if will reach all the way to the river side.

It’s true that they aren’t the prettiest things to look at but I find the presence of cranes in the parks to be very exciting because it means something new is happening. We can’t have another BTMRR derailment. And we will get some new effects on the ride, too. It’s about time!

People who say “this is the worst era of Disney parks” will always be wrong. Nothing will ever be as bad as the Pressler era. People DIED, and rides were legitimately falling apart, in an actual literal sense.
I feel like all this new stuff will feel better once stuff is actually built. I just want that to happen soon already. I miss seeing things rise up and be built. That kinda excitement is always fun.

Ngl I feel like Disney is running out of things to retheme atp at wdw. What else is there to retheme?
The remaining big candidates to me are:
Star Tours
Tower of Terror (from removing TZ and keeping it the hotel to something much bigger
Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
Laugh Floor
Magic eye
That’s it really to me. A lot of these are gut feelings, but I especially feel that Star Tours and Tower Of Terror are on the clock for some changes to me.
