BTMRR is “no longer operable”?

That’s simply untrue.

Last I’d heard, they’ll continue allowing us to risk our lives in the haunted mine through the New Year. Could move up
if they don't think they'll need it for the peak holiday weeks.
Now when you say through the new year...could someone visiting on the week of January 3-10 maybe get the chance to get on before it goes down or are they closing the sucker the moment that calendar clicks over?

How are they going to fill RoA without disrupting the whole guest experience. New attraction dump trucks filled with dirt rides ---up-charge $19.95
Well they're not really working in an area that is in the middle of anything. As is that side of the park is a dead end with nothing behind it. You can only view the river from three sides (BTMRR/TBA side, head on along the pathway, and from the opposite side where LS and HM are). If they just walled off the river, it wouldn't really change anything about how guests walk around that area.

It would honestly be one of the lesser disruptions they've placed into a park across the last decade, especially compared to how much HS was burdened by TSL and GE and the work wall nightmare of EPCOT.

We were on it earlier this week. Barely made it out with our lives twice, but it was fun.

Interesting permit today for the Big Thunder maintenance building. It's from one of Disney's big general contractors and has an expiration of 9/30/2025.

5015 CARIBBEAN WY(WEST MAINTENANCE BLDG) - Dpr Construction - General Construction

Interesting... nearly a full year... more than enough time to move/alter the position of it if they wanted to (I know there were talks of routing a path that way around BTMRR to Villians Land which would/could require altering the BTMRR maintenance barn, but that seemed unnecessary with the announcement of the removal of TSI as that freed up plenty of room for pathways beyond BTMRR...). It will be interesting to watch. If that's really what this is (moving/altering the maintenance building, if they are going to be doing a complete retracking, that would be the ideal time to also work on the maintenance building.

Alternatively, could this be similar to the Hagrid's project where they are expanding the maintenance building to allow for more trains (not to run more trains simultaneously, but so they can have more "spare" trains in the shed so anytime they need to remove a train for repairs/maintenance, they always have a train to replace it?

Or I guess it could be neither of these and it's just a gut and rebuild of the building to optimize the use of the space and available equipment to help expedite repair time... the ride is 44 years old and I'm sure they have learned a lot in that time as to what is optimal to maintain the ride... (I have no idea what's going on... just spit balling ideas)
