I don't know why, but Steve's update says Jungle Cruise was made into a movie. For years it was in dvelopment, but it has never been completed.

I just can't even begin to figure out where this TV series would go or what it would do. Maybe I am short on imagination. Is this a Disney stab at a very PG western series, set in the time of western exploration and railroad expansion? I just don't get it.

I was half-expecting them to do something with Big Thunder, but not necessarily a TV show. This will be something to see how it turns out.

I think somebody at the Mouse House finally took their dose of 90s synergy euphoria medicine.

With next gen just around the corner and half the cue waiting stocked with empty crates waiting for the launch, this could turn out pretty great.

As long as they don't tie in The Lone Ranger to the attraction....

It would sure be nice to see Disney innovating in the entertainment biz again.

Plus, there is a SEVERE lack of quality prime time family programming. With the abortion that was No Ordinary Family, ABC could do worse.

What family show has a teenage daughter calling the preteen son a dumb(donkey) in the opening scene of tue series?

Except with the synergy trend they usually end up failing spectacularly (Haunted Mansion, Tower of Terror, Country Bears) or become too successful and end up doing damage to the original source material.(Pirates of the Caribbean)

If that actually makes it to series, or heck, if it makes it to pilot stage, I'll eat my shoe. What kind of market are they thinking would go for that? Sorry but making a "good ol' family western" isn't something I see anyone clamoring for.

Well the writers don't get my hopes up.

What backstory should they follow? An earthquake? Native American spirits? Phantom Manor tie-in? Smoke monster??
