Big Meaty Fun Trip Report !

Hi Gang I am back....Having so much fun...really is alot of work...lol, but would I do it again?...you betcha!

Day 1 Wednesday Night Sept 18th

Left the car at the long term econo parking lot at Midway, took the shuttle to the airport...flew on ATA to Orlando. Went down to the baggage claim...and our fine sponsor YourRide.net was there waiting with a sign with my name on it. Waited at the baggage carousel to get all our stuff. Rabbit from Yourride was Great! He helped us with our very heavy luggage outside, then I grabbed a smoke...while he went to go get the car. 10min later...a huge fully loaded Ford Excursion pulled up...and he put our luggage in the back...what a nice guy! This service rocked! Rabbit is a great guy...and a cool sponsor of this very site...I suggest you guys use YourRide.net...I am very pleased and will use them again in the future!

Arriving at Port Orleans-French Quarter....
There was no line to check in....they gave us our room number...but made a mistake...when we got to the room...it was a no-smoking room....so we went back to the front desk..and they reassigned us to a smoking room in Building 2. I was in room 2315 (third floor) looking over a very nice courtyard...landscaping was flawless...and the huge foutain was lovely. Building 2 was great...everything was soooo close ...to the pool...boat docks... food court...just a great location centraly located. We then headed to the boat docks...and headed for Downtown Disney! We looked around a bit...I spent alot of time in the Art of Disney and Christmas store...my 2 new favorite stores! I was tired...and we had a early PS at the Kona Cafe in the Poly the next Morning...so we headed back.... unpacked..... setup the wakeup call.... Watched the Disney Resort Channels...and went to bed.

Boat Dock to Riverside and Downtown Disney....

If you can....take the boat to Downtown Disney instead of the bus....its a nice change of pace and a relaxing ride that takes about 20min

This is kinda the Kiddy and Family with kids side of the food court(its alot louder over here )...they show Disney Movies and Cartoons on the big screen TV....neat!

EXCELLENT PHOTOS!!! I especially like the sunset and castle shots, VERY NICE! I have/had a mavica too! :lol: during my college program I too sOOOOooo many pictures. I carried around so many floppy disks for the camera. I'd constantly swap disks all day long. My friends found it humorous, as did I :lol: . I've changed camera's since then and don't swap as often . I'm glad to hear you had a great time, and I enjoy reading your trip reports. Keep em coming :sohappy: !

Day 3 Epcot Sept 20th

Epcot was great.... walked onto Spaceship Earth.... The Audio sounded great...I could hear everything this time...still...it would be nice if the headrest were padded at least. Love the smell of Rome Burning....

Then headed on over to Test Track...10min wait...no biggie...went in the stand by line..... Did not break down when I was in line or on the ride...so that was nice

Headed over to UoE.... walked on.....I don’t see what the big deal is with the Ellen audio animatronics*shrugs*

Then to the living seas.... its nice to see the manatees back!....I wish they would reopen the ride portion again though....all these people trying to squeeze thru that little opening after the hydrolators, stinks!

Then over to the land.......boooooooooring...sorry I hate to say it but it was....

Then off to the imagination pavilion....walked onto figment..nice to see him back....still... It would be nice if Dreamfinder were back as well....Nigel Channing kind of annoys me...lol. Did the e-mail picture thing.....did not have time to play around much....had a 3pm PS for biergarten....so we go and catch one of the Friendship boats at World Showcase lagoon to Germany.

Biergarten is great...nice selection of food.... I had a Becks Octoberfest to....great beer!!! :slurp:

After our late lunch...we jump back on the boat and head back to the Imagination pavilion....caught Honey I Shrunk the Audience...lol...that was fun...then started to tour the world showcase in a counter clockwise fashion.

Seen American Adventure...that was cool.....then headed back over to Germany...had a smoke in the smoking area...and got another Becks Octoberfest.... Watched Tapestry....nice...I like this parade...perfect viewing location for this is in the smoking section...in Germany!...got lots o' pics of this to!

Instead of trying to follow the masses out of the park....I stuck around....took a few pictures....and I was out of the park at about 10pm....it was nice leaving the park when it was almost empty...very peaceful walking around the countries.

Next Up..... Day 4... MGM... Then at night, we head over to the MK and catch Spectro...and Fantasy in the Sky!

Day 4 Sept 21st Saturday -- MGM during the Day, MK at night for Spectro and Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks

Jumped on the Buss and headed for MGM

...Checked out a few stores as you walk in the gate down the main street area...Then I went to the Hat and got my Epcot Magical moments pin...and my free internet pin...with the certificate I got off the Disney World Web Site. Kewl!.....

No wait for the Big Movie Ride....that was ok.... then over to the smoking section by star tours....had a smoke..... went on star tours....needs to be changed and updated bad...Did not do the Indy Stunt show....you seen it once....no need to see it again...until they change it that is...

Did Muppet Vision 3d...that was really neat.... then over to the back lot tour...this was interesting....but I had a near run in with 2 older ladies playing wheelchair Nazi.....the part with the Pearl Harbor thing..that they film with people from the audience....well....it was over and it was time to head to the prop where house....and I was just walking...and out of no where...these 2 old ladies... come barreling at me....I stopped walking to let them pass me.....then they give me a dirty look...as she nearly takes my toes off....and passes... ..Whatever....I brush it off....I am here for the "magic"

Finished up the back lot tour... Time for lunch at the Prime Time Cafe...Nice...loved the meatloaf....REALLY LOVED the PB&J Shake!....our server on the other had....had a really thick accent...he was from Morocco...and I thought I was the only one having a hard time understanding him.... turns out I was not....cause the folks at the next table...asked if I understood him...I said "I am trying to" ...none the less...great food...great CM....just a really bad accent....

Drew Carey Sounds Dangerous was next....that was fun...I did not even think about doing get Crappy with ABC... I am on Vacation...the last thing I wanna see is a 25 min commercial on the fall lineup...:lol:....now that I remember...I don’t remember seeing anybody going in that theater all day.(but it was open)..and I passed it quiet a few times.

Did One Mans Dream...LOVED it! about time...
..and I have a ton of pics from this as well...

Next was ToT....I have tummy issues....so this ride is not for me....yet I went on it anyway...no line...lol.... I got the back row...center seat...with the seat belt....ugh...could not wait to get off....lol

Went over to RnRC..No Line....That rocked....I forgot which song was playing in our limo..so if some one could list the songs for me again...that they play in the RnRC limos...please do so...so I can narrow down what song I had....lol.... Kewl gift shop at the end...but waaaaaay to small for all those bodies...generating mass amounts of body heat!... I really liked the RnRC mini Guitar in the acrilyic display case ...on the walnut base....but 40 bucks seemed a bit steep for that....so maybe I can find it on eBay instead

Time to head over to the MK...coming soon....

I got side tracked.....and wanted to catch other stuff that I missed the 1st time in the parks on Monday....I am planning....well thinking...I am going solo on my next trip...and I really wanna stay at the poly.... so in the next 6 months..I hope to go back... Thats if Pat gives me the other 5% of my raise..(fingers crossed)...:lol:

Day 4 Sept 21st Saturday - MK at night for Spectro and Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks


Caught a bus from MGM to the MK...got there in no time!
Went and check on Haunted Mansion to see it it was open...still down...I asked and a CM and said it will be open Sunday ... Kewl....I will be back on Monday then....

I was Hungry...so we went to Columbia Harbor House.....WOW...long lines...and tons of tired little ones screaming and crying... so I ordered the clam chowder in the bread bowl..it was pretty good....I also ate upstairs....a heck of alot more quite up there....I HIGHLY suggest eating up stairs....its like I had the whole place to myself

I then Headed behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe for a smoke.... then went inside to get my mom a nice Pooh snow globe for her birthday...and a monorail ornament that Lights up...and makes sound.....for myself

Spectro was really nice.... I watched it between Liberty Tree Tavern & Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe nice area to watch it from ...and I dont know what the Purpose of the Chucky Doll looking characters are though... :veryconfu Who came up with the Idea that Chucky-esq guys would be great in a parade....lol

Then it was time for the Fireworks..... Tinkerbell Flew on her wire...and they began...it was hard to find a good view spot...but I was the bridge in-between the Crystal Palace and Adventure land...

Fireworks ended....and I had a taste for some Ice Cream...so I went to Plaza Ice Cream Parlor...got some butter pecan...and headed out to the Bus station....holy cow was it packed...about 30min later I got on a bus...and called it a night at the Resort...:snore:
