Next to the Captain Hook area of MK parking lot.

They are expanding the parking lot. The pile has to do with drainage, etc.

From my construction recollection, that is a process that is done to compress/compact the swampy soil in an area and force the water to go to a different place. Or it could be a clearing a different spot for building or digging a new lagoon and that is where they brought the excess dirt. Whatever it is, from this angle based on the vegetation, it looks like it has been there for awhile.

Last week, a family member asked me why they put a dirt pile where the racetrack was. I told said family member that this area used to be trees and the former racetrack is now a pond/expanded parking lot/new roadways.

Finally........the EPIC response to Epic Universe.
It's WDW's dirt hill. For a measly 150 you too can roll down Uncle Walt's epic adventure dirt hill. Each side provides a unique rider experience.
Boarding passes start 7am April 1st 2022.

They’re using it to help build up the areas around the new flyovers and ramps, it’s actually half the size it used to be compared to a few months ago.

When municipal waste costs go up due to the current world situation, Disney will convert that area to a landfill. More revenue

Weren't leftover piles of dirt from the construction of Disneyland initially billed as "attractions" when the park first opened, at least until they could clear them? Maybe these are the next "immersive stories" from Chapek et al, reminiscent of Walt's original conception of Disneyland.

Hate to say this... but at one point in history Disney was too cheap to get rid of a pile of dirt....


eventually it turned into the matterhorn bobsleds....
too bad these arent those times.

They are adding more flat parking. I wish they would add a parking deck though like Disney Springs and Universal Orlando.

I’d even be cool with them building a series of solar panel canopies to not only add juice to WDW, but also prevent our cars from frying in the central Florida sun.
