Anybody already planning a big trip for 2012?

We have our plans being laid out as we speak for September of next year. As of right now it will be 19 of us heading to the world! More than half will be newbies, so it'll be fun to show them around WDW.

Anyone else planning a similar trip for next year?

Yep! But not at WDW. We have 6-day Wonder cruise booked sailing from Vancouver on 9/10/12. We'll have 2 days in San Francisco before proceding on to Los Angeles. Hopefully we'll be spending at least 4 or 5 nights post-cruise at DLR. It'll the boys & my first time going to California and/or Disneyland. Sooooo jazzed!!!

We are in the talking stage of a 2012 trip to Disney World. 4 adults and 3 children. Two 4 year olds and a five year old with 2 old grandparents who are big kids at Disney. HA! HA! Not sure where we will be staying. We like Pop Century, but it will depend on what hotel can accommodate the young adults and their children.

Ooooohh....niiiiiiice! I'll be excited for that TR!

Lol ... it won't be all WDW ... but Crackshaft and Kitty will be making appearances again. We'll be about 12 days on the gulf coast and remainder in WDW. Not sure if we'll be on site or not. But, yea, pretty darn excited and our flights are already booked! Scored direct!

Maybe it's because I just finished watching the Red Sox blow an eight inning lead to lose the game, but I'm sharing nonetheless. We won't be taking a big trip this year. My daughter is leaving for her first year of college in the late Summer. I always thought that my wife and I would live like kids with credit cards and no curfew when my daughter grew older, but the truth is that my kid is an integral part of my life that can not be released so flippantly. She went on a trip to survey schools a few weeks ago ( a trip that included California, with a consequent visit to a theme park that her own father has not attended, I might add), and during her absence we noticed that we went to work and came home.

It would seem really strange going to WDW without my daughter, and we don't have the time for a big trip, what with her upcoming departure and all of the preparation that lies between now and then. Consequently, I'm not so sure what lies ahead for us and Mickey, but we will try for a few days at Christmas break. One never knows what the future holds, but the journey forward is always worth the mystery.

2012 Trip

We have booked another trip for 2012 after visiting twice last year we can't wait.
Staying off site next Easter and have booked the Renaissance at Sea World for 14days.(Will miss staying on-site)but my Grumpy Father could'nt cope last year with 24/7 Disney so a compromise had to be made with the understanding 2013 he can stay at home HA HA.........

I've been in talks with my best girl friend about going on October 2012, her family has only been once. We have put the word out to other family members about going to see if they would want to go. Some have given interest so we'll see. I did a big family trip on 2008 with 15 family members and it was sooooo much fun, never a dull moment. So I'm hoping a few of them will decide to tag along.

We keep going back and forth about resorts we like both Coronado & the new Animation resort. I guess it'll prob come down to pricing.

Flights are booked! No going back! Keep me up to date on your plans, Gulf coast and all. It'd be worth a road trip to come stalk ya and say hello. Yay for Crankshaft and Kitty appearances! I'm pumped just thinking about it!

Awwwww...so sweet. Whether or not you make it anywhere outside your hometown and wherever your daughter chooses to go to school, your family is on the biggest of all journeys next year: you're heading down the road of life. The turns that bring the biggest changes can also bring the biggest adventures. Enjoy! Mickey and the gang will always be waiting for you with open arms.

2012 Family Trip

We are also planning a family trip in 2012. I just had a son in April, so our annual summer trip is not going to happen this year.:( It is very hard to think that we are not going, but looking at him makes it all better. It also makes it better to start planning our 2012 trip. I have already checked and bookings at the new Animation Resort will be taken in August, and I have our dates lined up, June 17 through the 24th, a little shorter then normal. But with a 1 year old I think it will be long enough. We will be taking my now 3 children :), my parents and brother, who haven't been there since 2007, and hopefully my other brother and his wife and my sister and her boyfriend will make it down for a few days as well. So in total it could be 11 people in all.
This summer I will spend it with my girls, watching Disney Home movies from the last 6 years and planning next year's trip. I already have a countdown on my computer 389 days.
