I really like how the new signs have the pavilion logos on them.
Pavilion logos are nice, but tiny...Why is the font so small? All in all it is nice...the entire Communicore should have gotten this makeover years ago instead of the most horrible paint job ever...Perhaps if it had, they wouldn't have had to tear it all down, they would have space for another new attraction as well. Honestly if they restored the original pre-show to the living seas, it would explain all about water on the planet without having to build a 4 billion dollar water-play-area-that-is-not-a-splash-pad-but-no-one-knows-what-it-actually-is.I really like how the new signs have the pavilion logos on them.
I mean, neither is the Odyssey, which sits roughly opposite it. I'd say PLAY! is honestly the more glaring omission since it's centrally located in World Discovery.Anybody else notice that Imagination is not included on the new signs?
PLAY! and Odyssey currently aren’t operating, though. Also, Journey of Water isn’t included. Imagination is the only currently operating or soon to operating pavilion that isn’t on the signage.I mean, neither is the Odyssey, which sits roughly opposite it. Were you not paying any literal attention when both Sea World and Universal actually continued BUILDING during the closure? Universal started building a coaster that I can not only guarantee is better than GotG, but they started it during a pandemic and opened it last summer! Disney closed UoE in 2017 and GotG is STILL not open!Umm... so you're saying that several months of being shut down, the distancing restrictions that mired construction and offices, the following labor shortage and supply chain problems didn't have an effect even in the cases where Disney is purposely slow-walking a project for reasons?
So EU is opening next year as planned? Were you not paying any literal attention when both Sea World and Universal actually continued BUILDING during the closure? Or, you know, design a layout that doesn’t necessitate so many signs.Pavilion logos are nice, but tiny...Why is the font so small? And a bunch of twisting winding paths make that better? You and others keep telling us how lousy Future World was but continue t9 ignore that none of those issues are actually being addressed.Or, you know, design a layout that doesn’t necessitate so many signs.
As @wdwmagic pointed out, it made sense to take a pause on billions in investment when EU was just a dirt pile.So EU is opening next year as planned?
It was still a decision to hold off construction due to the pandemic. As @wdwmagic pointed out, it made sense to take a pause on billions in investment when EU was just a dirt pile.
GotG and Tron were FAR from dirt pile's when the pandemic struck. There was no going back.
There's a big difference between risking billions on a new park that was barely started construction and wanting to take a pause (which was quickly taken off pause only months later) to stopping on rides that had full ride buildings and track installations among many other things for these rides. They paused for way longer than Universal paused EU (especially on Tron) simply because by keeping the projects on pause, it would allow GotG to now be a 2022 offering and for Tron to be a 2023 offering instead of everything in 2021.It was still a decision to hold off construction due to the pandemic.
The real excuse is they wanted the biggest marketing/attendance push possible, and it’s a valid one. It’s their decision when they want to open it, it’s not like they have to do it as soon as they can. There's a big difference between risking billions on a new park that was barely started construction and wanting to take a pause (which was quickly taken off pause only months later) to stopping on rides that had full ride buildings and track installations among many other things for these rides. Next excuse.
I haven't experienced this hedge maze of a layout you're describing yet, so I'll get back to you then. And a bunch of twisting winding paths make that better? You and others keep telling us how lousy Future World was but continue t9 ignore that none of those issues are actually being addressed.
Theres a new pathway connecting seas to the main entrance, the Moana trail will also connect between celebration and nature. The new spine will make the walk to world showcase easier without the big fountain causing a bottleneck. And a bunch of twisting winding paths make that better?
