It's not even clear where Avatar is going and if it goes in Hollywood land it's not like that's a loss to DCA in the slightest. Say what you will about the rest of the additions but I find the park to be objectively strong (and only getting stronger with last year's announcements). Although I agree the park's name is less and less relevant now. But hey, I'll take a California Adventure that doesn't quite match the park's theme over an Adventure World....
I completely disagree. 2012-2017 was peak new DCA. The destruction started when they removed TOT, an old hollywood hotel peaking out behind the Carthay fit BVS and the trolley perfectly, now it’s a poorly themed ugly mansion. Bugsland wasn’t amazing but it was very charming and cleverly themed, while Avengers is uglier than World Celebration with its shopping plaza look. Pixar Pier took a victorian seaside pier and turned it into an IP invaded ugly mess with areas that don’t even make sense. Half is pixar and half is carnival flats with random Disney movies. Then Pacific Wharf took an area based on real San Francisco with a bakery and sour dough tour and tried to turn it into a cartoon version with vaguely Asian influence while still keeping the Mexican place and bakery. It went from CA inspired to downgrades. If the trolley is removed permanently that’s another huge blow in the theme.

All valid points, I know many aren't fans of Avengers or ToT redo (though I've grown to love it). I've made my peace with the IP rethemes too. But I just think the park is a strong opposite to Disneyland and gets a lot of enjoyment out of people (and myself) if you look past the massacre of the Californian elements.

I know I'm in the minority here. But everyone should hopefully agree that Hollywoodland offers next to nothing for DCA in its current form.

What's interesting here is vs Epcot nothing that was changed here was outdated and that goes for the good stuff off this park.
