To each it's own, but I sort of to refuse this option under any circumstance, even though there are a handful of posters that I don't see personally see eye-to-eye.

Even the overly critical and negative forum members, typically bring an interesting point of view. I do believe that most of it is rooted in love for the Disney theme parks even if they are stuck in the "good ole' days".

I finally got to see the lights "working" and watched a few of the shows with Spaceship Earth before heading over to World Showcase to watch Luminous. My favorites were the Epcot anthem and the When We're Together holiday show.

We went the weekend (12/21/2024) right before Christmas, and for the most part the lights worked, probably 95% the way there.
But there were bits here and there that were mis-colored and didn't light correctly with the sequences.
We sat on the right side facing Spaceship Earth.

I really liked the mood and lighting at night, just wished it was 100% working. I was with a bunch of first timers and they were all intrigued by everything, so that's at least good.

Also as a side note, the DJ at Communicore was so loud. Even sitting here in the central area to watch the light shows, the music coming from over there was drowning out the music, ruining the vibes. I'm not one to complain much but that really was a bad mark that I still remember until now..

Something very wrong happened at WDI between DCA 2.0 and this Epcot project. There’s no way in hell we went from Buena Vista Street to this new Epcot spine with the same design philosophies in place.

I would say there is a valid debate whether it was "at WDI" vs. "to WDI" vs. both.

whether "at" or"To", it seems like substantial enough changes happened to change the course of creative theme park design within the Walt Disney Company... The seem to have lost that spark.... Maybe they need to all sit down and watch every one of Matin's deep dive videos to understand what the Imagineers did and how great it was...Maybe the executives should all do a retreat and watch them too... to understand the changes and see what was lost...to understand how to bring that wonder and excitement back...not model the world after a corporate office campus... or average apartment buildings that surround us...
