Kind of surprised there isn't a fallback plan to just light SSE with the old sunset/sunrise colors or something static with the LED spotlights around the entrance, like how it used to be lit.

I think it's the lights signaling bring back Fountain of Nations to this location!! "I wanna be lit on Spaceship Earth" lol!

I think you are... but it would be nice to double-down on the Muppets Studio area of DHS and add another attraction for them alongside Muppet Vision....

Major lighting issues here as of late. According to a CM, the lights were “flashing” earlier this week so now they’re just off completely. hopefully they get this together within the next week. The lights at Epcot were one of my daughters favorite part of the trip

I'm not against the Muppets in Epcot, if done properly. I think a Muppet-esque PIM's Test Kitchen that blends a bit of actual food science with Muppets food science (into weird, inventive dishes) could be a nice addition that works in a balanced IP Epcot. (Unlike Regal Eagle, which feels like an unnecessary afterthought to me.) I don't think they are needed. But, if we are going to require an IP, I think it's one that can work.

These costumes are more Epcot-y than the dance competition-style leos they are wearing, but I'm always glad when they add entertainment to the parks.

Working, seemingly yes, at least for the most part. Synchronized with the beacons, no. We'll see if they try to revisit it when they open Communicore. At that point, they'll likely be adding the three circles along the World Nature walkway to the mix, which might be an opportunity to give it another go.

Were the giant white led light posts at one point planned to sync colors with SSE? The poles on the walkway from SSE to Connections do, but the other ones spread throughout World Whatever are just white. Even with those lights on, some sections get pretty dark so I can see how a lawyer would be against them changing colors (if this were the case).

I would imagine pillar lights outside earshot of the SSE beacon music are not meant to sync with the show, of which there are many.

Since The Odyssey was mentioned, I'd love to see it transition into a buffet-style restaurant that would highlight cuisines other than what are currently represented in World Showcase. Monday could be Greek night, Tuesday Thai, Wednesday Indian, etc. They could even incorporate a character experience with them dressed in appropriate costumes to match the country's food for the night.

That's the risk you take when you have multiple things connected so they "are synchronized".

Although SSE without all the insipid LED pucks looks glorious. As it should. It's too bad they couldn't have illuminated it with the floodlights/spotlights.

interesting that the communicore plaza building will also have restrooms to be entered on the stage side of things, so close to the stand alone restrooms building. More bathrooms are always welcome though imo

This is functionally the same as before. There were restrooms located next to/south of Character Spot/Pasta Piazza/Sunrise Terrace.

Though thanks to better building codes, the new ones shouldn’t be claustrophobia inducing like the old ones.
