I find being famous at a young age leads to questionable decision making and cockiness. Not everyone, but just in general.

Look at these people: Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn Spears, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus

All have done something questionable and have ruined their image to some extent.

Sure, it's cute when 12-year-olds are acting/singing, but when they get older you realize they have no talent. By that time they're already spoiled rotten.
You are quite correct. It seems to be the exception when a child star make it to a successful adulthood.

It's pretty obvious Bieber is trying to be like Michael Jackson the monkey thing and other erratic behavior. I hope he matures and mans up because like what @draybook said he's just a kid

No, but I did have military raising, and knew better.

So did I, and I've been a pastor's kid since I was 6. That didn't keep me from selling drugs and getting into a heap of trouble as a kid. You're only proving my point even further. You had guidance, he doesn't.

How am I proving your point further if you had the "same" guidance as I did but you still got into trouble, yet I didn't? It's a personal self control issue, nothing more.

Iconic people make iconic decisions.

We "little" people can make the same decisions, but when media is watching their every move, there's got to be some standard of morals. In this instance of what he did, he knew exactly what he was writing. It wasn't a dare, it wasn't a bet, he knew exactly what he was doing. If any of us "normies" would've done something like that, we would've gotten "five across the eyes" for disrespecting a part of history.

In the wake of the Rick Rypien desecration in Vancouver, he nor his manager had ANYTHING to say to apologize in the matter. Once again, classless and tasteless. With what he just did on his own accord, he's showing his fans and re-affirming to them that what they did in Vancouver to a hockey heros memorial was okay.

He knows that he's towards the top of a teen empire. A very fickle and impressionable teen empire. One day he's going to make another wrong decision that will ultimately cost him everything.

Perhaps he should go talk to Lindsay Lohan before he's 25 and can't stop living in the past.

Because if you give a teenager millions of dollars and no supervision, 99% of the time this is what happens. Yes, you had a safe childhood, and you didn't have millions in the bank and you had leadership.

Lohan. Ha. There's another one. Someone, for the love of gawd, throw her in jail already. And make it stick for a while so she learns her lesson. This 90-day rehab is another silly slap on the wrist for her as she dodges another bullet.

She's another example with what @draybook brought up about having no supervision and no father figure. IMO it just seems like her mother tried to be her friend. Don't get me wrong, I love my mother, but by no means are we friends! She's my mother! That's their job.
