Bieber is a talentless asshat.

What he wrote is clueless, childish and makes the rest of us look bad (as if we needed help with that).

True words! :P

Has anyone else seen or read this story?
For those who don't know, Justin Bieber is touring in Europe, and was in the Netherlands.
He and some of his boys visited the Anne Frank House for about an hour, and he signed the guest book before he left.
You all can tell me if I'm just overreacting from my intense dislike for Bieber, but here's what he wrote in the guest book. At the Anne Frank House museum.
And I quote: Truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a really great girl. Hopefully she would have been a belieber.

That last word is not misspelled. He actually used the word that refers to his whacked out fans.
He was apparently so affected by the story of her suffering and death under the Nazis that he was worried about her being a fan of his?

Again, I ask if this is as bad as I think it is.
whose netherlands was he exploring?

To be honest, I'd wager that all of us were annoying as teenagers. Now add 50 million bucks or so and take away the father figure and poof, you have Justin. I don't think he meant any harm, he simply is at that age where you don't actually think about the deep impact of your statements.

I might have been annoying as a teen, but never that disrespectful.

I agree that he didn't intend to be a jerk on purpose.
It's almost worse to me that he probably still has no idea why people are upset with him.

So that's an excuse to be a punk? It might look good for his "image" but that's rather shortsighted.

Nobody said it was an excuse. It's simply a cycle: we were all arrogant little know it all kids in some fashion during our late teens. That's why it's such a running joke among the generations about teens knowing it all. When I was 17 I got legally emancipated so I could move out on my own because I knew it all. 5 months later I was back at home. I'm simply saying that if you add in a boat load of money, fame and no father figure, then you get the magnified behavior that he is displaying.

I find being famous at a young age leads to questionable decision making and cockiness. Not everyone, but just in general.

Look at these people: Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Jamie Lynn Spears, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus

All have done something questionable and have ruined their image to some extent.

Sure, it's cute when 12-year-olds are acting/singing, but when they get older you realize they have no talent. By that time they're already spoiled rotten.

I hate him so much. So full of himself. He thinks everyone loves him, and he just makes me sick.
Amen to that. I would love to meet him one day just to set him in his place. Ya know, pretend I love him and then put him down. He desperately needs it.

Well, not all stars. Selena Gomez has turned out pretty nicely. She's actually got talent, though. Abigail Breslin is another name that comes to mind. As does Anna Sophia Robb. It's the ones who get too popular too quickly who get cocky.

Bieber I didn't like from the moment I saw his Youtube video though. He just always came across as a jerk to me.

Yeah, it's definitely not all child celebrities. Didn't mean it to sound like that.

The part about the father figure is true whether you have money or not. I had a friend who got pregnant at 15, and part of the problem was she was so desperate for male affection because she never had a father. She would go after complete jerks, and we'd all try to warn her, but of course that fell on deaf ears. She only believed us when her boyfriend took their son and left. So sad the types of decisions some teens make that could be prevented with good parents.

One Little Spark...
The older he gets the more convinced I am that instead of turning into an Usher protoge as an adult (as predicted he might, especially since Usher found the kid on youtube), he's turning into Robert Van Winkle.
