Surely that yellow path alongside The Haunted Mansion would have to have something to do built along it, right? That path would be almost twice the length of Main Street.
I would agree, but I think the point is that it would be stuff like food/merch/bathrooms as opposed to an attraction. Although if they wanted to revive the idea of the Main Street Theater, a colonial style theater in that spot as part of Liberty Square could certainly work

They did just add a long riverside path of nothingness to connect Africa to Pandora at DAK.
True - but this would ne nearly twice as long as that. Not to mention more out of character for MK than AK.

I would love to see them build The Sanderson Sister's Cottage back there to host a special effects-filled show where the Witches return and cause trouble for the guests. That would be a great transition between Liberty Square and Villains Land, not to mention back-breakingly popular during Halloween time.

Something related to the Headless Horseman/Sleepy Hallow would also work as a transition

It is kind of easy to say. The Park has never really had an expansion of sorts. A lot of new fantasyland was replacing what was there and things going into the former plot of 20K.

5th gate? Just build a new resort Bob.

The back path from Tomorrowland (and soon to be from Tron) to Storybook Circus is also a pretty long nothing path.

As are all three of the paths to SWGE at Disneyland but especially the BTMRR one, ironically. It never ends.

Changing the Rivers of America to Rivers of the Americas and segueing from the Southwestern United States to an animated/fantasy version of Mexico and then to one of Colombia and then to Fantasyland...that's actually a pretty good transition, thematically.
This sounds great, and if they went ahead with the Villainsland they could somehow situate it between and behind the Coco/Encanto land. Great opportunity to build a berm and make for a grand reveal of the the Villainsland.

Has it been said what kind of attraction(s) they have in mind for Villains Land if it were to happen? It sounds like Coco would be Flight of Passage-like and Encanto would be a Mystic Manor-ish Casita Ridethrough, but I haven't seen anything specific suggested for Villains beyond speculation of a returned Bald Mountain flume concept from the 20,000 Leagues reclaimation days.

I doubt that's actually what they'd have in mind at this stage . . . right?

The Villainsland is even further blue sky than the others. I can't imagine that they have anything planned right now. My hope is for a rollercoaster, a dark ride, and one big E-ticket like RotR, coupled with a character meal Villians TSR and a QSR.
