It had recently been reported that there were plans to build a new tower at the Best Western Lake Buena Vista which next to Disney Springs. A permit was filed for this work today. Expiration date is 3/31/2021.
That would be better. Drury knows how to run a house.Interesting, I remember reading on the OBJ a while back that it got bought by Drury Hotels with the intention to rebrand, but then nothing happened. Wonder if this might be a step in that direction.
More rooms on property... all of which could potentially dilute the FP+ and EMH availability...
It's becoming a fool's game planning vacations at WDW.
Are they participating in EMH and FP+?This is a Best Western, not a Disney owned hotel.
Are they participating in EMH and FP+?
(Hint: their website says "yes.")
True, but they are on-property. These 7 hotels are Good Neighbor hotels so they also get the FP+ treatment too. This is a Best Western, not a Disney owned hotel.
You're right. Not all of the DTD hotels participated. The Hilton, for one, did.I apologise. We stayed there about 7 years ago and I don't believe they had EMH then. FP+ didn't exist at the time.
Disney owns the land and leases it to them.True, but they are on-property. These 7 hotels are Good Neighbor hotels so they also get the FP+ treatment too.
not the Walgreens and 7-11. On property appraiser site it shows Walgreens as actual owner. Or like other leases where Disney is still owner. Other areas in Flamingo yes, because it is owned by Flamingo Crossings, LLC which is owned by Disney.Disney owns the land and leases it to them.

Must have crossed my wires. Thought I was replying to the Flamingo Post. Yikes! LOLWhy are you bringing up Flamingo's Crossing? This is about the Disney Springs area property, no? The property where the Best Western of this thread's topic is being built, no?
Just wanted to bump this since I saw some news related to this project. Somehow I missed it when the news came out earlier this month, but it looks like the Drury Plaza Hotel is official.
