Best value resort?

Yes, I also like how POP has it's own bus routes. When you stay at AS especially ASM you have to make 3 stops when you are trying to get back to the hotel.

I can't wait for AOA! :sohappy:

Pop, no contest. Great food court, great bus service, nice layout if you're not in one of the outlying buildings, and a great price with discounts.

All Star Movies.

Best theme, food court, pool bar of the Values. I find it kind of funny now when people say "Pop Century because it's newer." It opened in 2003, just 4 years after Movies opened. Also, as for the sharing of buses, this is at less busy times. It's not as if the All Stars aren't basically just 1 long resort either. You could get off at Sports and walk to Movies in less time than it takes to walk to your room at half of the resorts at Disney.

Having stayed at all of the value resorts, Pop Century is by far the best one. The resort even feels and looks newer and I like how its layed out the way it is. The bus system beats the All Stars hands down, since it doesn't have to share and every time we've stayed at Pop the busses were always on time and never late and there was always a backup for park closing.

We really like the foodcourt at Pop and the giftshop also.

Personally, I prefer Music for your last point. You can hop on any All Stars bus from the parks and be back in your room with even less of a walk. In fact, I now stay at the All Stars simply because I don't have to wait so long for a bus to get back from the parks. It's a quick walk.

Movies. It has the most Disney feel to it with the movie characters everywhere. The multiple stops don't bother me since most if not all the moderates have multiple stops on their bus routes within the same resort. The All-Stars are basically one large resort anyway with 3 themes.

You find it funny that people are stating something that is true? I fail to find the humor - or your point.

The bus service alone keeps us staying at Pop - nothing is more frustrating on a hot day than waiting 15-20 minutes for a bus that shows up with either standing room only or no room at all. Pop, to us, is just a bigger better version of the All Stars. Also, having to share a bus with the type of people who frequent All Star Sports (loud and obnoxious - not saying all of them are but there is a much larger percentage of them there, including virtually all of the cheerleader groups staying in the All Stars) just doesn't appeal to us.

Well for today I will answer Music... only because we've just stayed at Music and Sports. It just seemed less hustle and bustle at Music.. no cheerleader or Pop Warner activity. We've stayed at Jazz, Country, and Calypso, loved each one. Bus activity was acceptable.. you're not last stop so it's not too bad, but some days when they stopped at Sports first, they would pull up with 2 empty seats and standing room only.

This Sept. will be our first time trying Pop. Gauging the responses I'm seeing here and reviews I've read, my answer will quickly change to Pop!

Pretty simple point. It's not that new anymore, and it's not much newer than All Star Movies. Having stayed at all the Values, I can say with great confidence, the biggest difference between any of them is the food court. Pop's and ASMovies are far better than Sports or Music. Other than that, they're basically just clones of each other.

They are all very similar. I think POP is better only because of the buses.
But I think whatever theme you like is what is going to make it BEST for you.

Clones of each other, yes. The same, no. The bus service and the groups of loud people are noticeably different at the All Stars than at Pop... this can make a large difference, even the if layouts of the resorts are very similar. Also, not being 'much' newer doesn't mean it isn't newer and thus many could find that a plus. You mocking people for liking the fact that something is newer because it's not 'enough' newer for you is just silly. I'd rather have a 2003 of almost anything than a 1999.

A.I'm not "mocking" anybody. To me, I just think the argument of it's newness is no longer relevant, especially given the fact that Movies just had a refurb recently.

B.So you'd rather stay at Pop Century than the Grand Floridian because Pop Century is newer?
