Best value resort?

A.I'm not "mocking" anybody. To me, I just think the argument of it's newness is no longer relevant, especially given the fact that Movies just had a refurb recently.

B.So you'd rather stay at Pop Century than the Grand Floridian because Pop Century is newer?

I would absolutely rather stay at Pop than GF - but not for that reason. You just got done saying the All Stars and Pop are almost identical - but Pop is newer. I would rather have a 2003 Honda Civic than a 1999 Honda Civic - but obviously Id take a 1990 Ferrari over either. The Pop/GF analogy holds no water.

That said, I wasn't even one of the people who factored Pop's newness into my thoughts on why Pop is better than the All Stars, I just didn't like the way you dismissed how people felt on that topic as irrelevant just because you don't factor that in. It is newer - and some prefer that.

For most people any of the All Stars or Pop would probably be a very similar experience - aside from the typically larger quantity of loud groups and loud people and buses showing up full/partially full sometimes at the All Stars. Those are the only differences I can think of that affect the enjoyment some may have between any of the values. That said - I've stayed at the All Stars and had good trips every time... it's certainly not a major difference.

Good point. Fair enough.

But isn't the Movies a newer resort because they have just redone all of the rooms? Or was the Pop redone after the Movies?

Going with the car analogy, as long as the frames are both working the same, I'd rather have the car with the nicer interior. Age doesn't necessarily matter as long as both cars are in the same working condition.

POP and All Star Music are my favorites, but I think you need to figure out which theme you like best. I think Pop is really fun, the pools are cute and well-themed, and it has just a fun atmosphere. All Star Music is quieter and seems more laidback. I also think the Broadway section is one of the best themed out of any of the resorts.

Pops rooms were redone recently as well.

POP. That's the only value we've stayed at. Love the theme and the memory walk thing around the back of the resort. Liked that the buses only stopped there but didn't like the bus stops not being covered. Love the lake.

We were going to try AoA but POP was still cheaper for our July trip. We are going to go explore it though.

We stayed at Pop for one night and didn't have a good experience. That being said, I am looking forward Art of Animation.

What was the bad experience due to? AoA is essentially a duplicate of Pop (albeit with a different theme - but I doubt the theme caused you to have a bad experience). Also, one night is not a good sample size - anyone can have one bad night just about anywhere if the circumstances are right - or wrong.
