Personally, I don't think there really is any difference. I think that Pop has SLIGHTLY larger rooms...it definitely had a bigger tv than the room I had at ASMovies when I stayed there once. They all serve the SAME food, so really the only differences are the fibreglass icons on the buildings and the layouts of the buildings around the resort. The All Stars, from my understanding, tend to attract groups moreso than Pop Century, with All Star Sports being the primary for the groups. From what people say, Music is the best of the All Stars.

Room sizes are exactly the same - 260 square feet.

They've moved the beds a little in Pop to make a bit more moving around room.

There are food differences - Pop has tie-die cheesecake, Mom's night out dinners, frozen Coke (may have just been removed)...

Pop NEVER shares a bus with any other resort, the All-Stars can share...

I wasn't sure about the room sizes...Pop's do seem bigger...I know the tv was definitely bigger, lol. Those food differences are relatively minor.

ASR also offer amenities Pop doesn't either, so it kind of is a wash with that.

I prefer Sports which rooms have been recently redone and are nicer than Pops, IMO. I also have only shared a bus 3 times in multiple (and I do mean multiple) stays at ASR. Since the rumors of Frozen Cokes being removed has popped up, it really killed the only advantage Pop had to me.

I say Sports is number 1, with Pop a close 2nd. Music would have to be 3rd and Movies, with its old style rooms and lots of little ones, is 4th.

I stayed at Pop last year for the first time and thiought it was still nice and very Disney. I had previously only stayed at the Wilderness Lodge...and the Poly. a loooong time ago and did not feel significantly cheated in my experience.

I have stayed at both Pop (4xs) and ASMu (1x) with a return to ASMu in September. I like Pop but I found ASMu more relaxing. Pop tends to have music blasting in the food court/main pool area that can get a bit un-nerving at times. Although ASMu doesn't have the tie-dye cheesecake, the food selections are very good. Nightly they have roast chicken or roast turkey dinner in addition to the usual pizza/burger menu. They also have the same selections of foods to take to your room like cereals, sandwich makings, etc. They sell them out of the gift shop rather than the food court like Pop. We did have to share a bus one time during our stay and that was in the middle of the day.
There was a band/dance competition when we were there and the kids were very well behaved. We really enjoyed the lay-out of ASMu because there was the mature foliage in the different tree stands that helped to absorb the noise. DH and I both felt more relaxed at ASMu than the last trip to Pop. We didn't have to battle through all the crowds at the food court and try to find a table to sit at. Maybe the problem was on our Dec 08 trip during what is normally a slow time there was a big imprompto "free dining" campaign that filled Pop to capacity! Imagine our shock (and disappointment) after planning a trip for a year to specifically be there during a slow time and find the place so packed that you couldn't even find a table to sit at for breakfast, let alone a clean one.
No matter which resort you end up at it you are a coffee drinker take the Folgers or Maxwell House coffee singles and get hot water from the coffee stand to make your own; Nescafe:hurl:

Whenever I see a post about which is the "best" value I always read them to see how how many people vote for POP. While I liked POP okay there is really no difference in the room size as mentioned already and the food court is loud and crowded. I am not a POP basher however, because I would stay there again, if all the other value choices were full and I wanted to stay at a value. AS Sports would be my first choice for a value though.

We like AS Sports also, but the walk through ASMusic on the Broadway End is relaxing--

Also, the last visit at AS Music, had games for the kids and music by the pool-possibly at the other resorts, but not when we were there:lookaroun
