If I remember correctly, the Fantasmic! package at DL is something like $60 per person for a box of cheese and a folding chair... not the greatest deal!

MK might only have three table services, but the Grand Flo, Contemporary and Poly (if you include the Luau) each have that many by themselves, then the WL/FW area has another four!

Crystal Palace?
Cinderella's Royal Table?
I salute you, sir! I'm not sure why I drew a blank on those... I think maybe because I was going by "land" and neither of those are really in a land. Ironically, I've eaten at both of the ones I forgot, but have never eaten at three of the four that I remembered.

Haha I've only eaten at Crystal Palace, but that was years ago! I actually never ate at Cinderella's Royal Table. It's impossible. It really is. I was hoping that Be Our Guest Restaurant would draw away some of the crowds, but alas no. You really have to make reservations far in advance!

Where do you eat when you're here?

It looks a lot like the Plaza Inn at Disneyland. Buffet food in the middle, a wing on either side for seating. Everyone has access to the whole buffet. The kids' buffet table is just like a mini-sized table that makes you look ridiculous if you're building a mountain out of puffed french toast at it. ;)

In the Parks
Yes
Fireworks - in the hub right in front of the castle. It's not like WDW where if you're right in front of the castle you can't see anything. DL castle is teeny compared to WDW. Also you'll get a good view of Tinkerbitch & Dumbo

Fantasmic! - we got there right after the fireworks and were able to stand just behind the "sit down only" area.

Mountains in the background...

The mountain should look bigger and "grander" than the castle. Not the opposite way around, especially if they're close to each other.

I like this version of mountains in the background behind Disneyland's Castle...

Those are the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains that frame most of Los Angeles County and Orange County from the north. This recent pic was taken in December with the Disneyland Castle decorated for Christmas, and the San Gabriel Mountains decorated for winter.

Christmas in July?!? Bah! Happy Independence Day everyone! (time to fire up the coals...)
