We got out of Pirates and just came to the show about 20 minutes before and found a place to sit. But it was hard to find. :D

We went another time for the second show and arrived 5 minutes earlier, we were far on the right but still had a good view.

Def try the second show. Its less crowded (lots of people with kids leave after the first show). Just be around the rivers when the first show starts (but dont watch it obviously!) and then as soon as those people get up you can get a good spot :)

Is there some kind of Desert party or priority seating for Fantasmic?
We went to a Tables in Wonderland one at WDW in may.
Someone there told us about Some sort of desert reserved seating for DL

Yes. I read on, I think, allears.net about a prepackaged dessert party for Fantasmic and a World of Color dining package.

Where's the best spot to view Fantasmic! Is there a place to sit like at DHS or not? Also what time should I make it to Rivers of America before viewing? And for the fireworks, where's your favorite spot?

Do the people stay with their blankets or just set them up and leave for a while. I know at the world for parades we have left stuff and came back and no one bother it

Oooooh that's not good. Called Disney Dining today and they said for WOC call back at 60 Days and for Fantasmic Call back at 30 Days? Not like WDW Dining:confused:
. I know I want to get everything planned out and I have to wait the 60 days too!!! Last week the world posted hrs for January. And still no calendar for land. Ughhhh. The dessert party for 1 child 1 adult was less than $50 at wdw and for 2adults at dl my sister pd over $120. That's unreal!!!!

Yeah, Disneyland dining, in terms of reservations is not nearly as crazy as WDW's. You can even do walk-ups.
That is true! I remember when I went to Disneyland a few years back, we right walked-up to the Blue Bayou and sat down is less than 30 minutes. We had previous reservations elsewhere, but I remember my Mom and I begging my dad to switch reservations as soon as we zoomed by it on Pirates. He cancelled our reservations, but the Blue Bayou was booked. We decided to try to walk-in and it worked out!

And it's still like that, too! Except for Christmas. I don't know anyone who makes reservations for DL and DCA restaurants, except you guys, of course.;)

I know it can be frustrating for people used to WDW, but DLR is very casual about reservations and schedules being released. It's more of a west coast frame of mind, not just Disneyland. The good thing is you do not have to plan very far ahead. You should be able to make dinner reservations the morning of most of the year or do not make any at all.

On the Fantasmic! package I reccommend not doing it. It is way overpriced for what you get. If you want to see the show either go to the second showing or get there early and have someone in the group grab dinner for the rest and have a picnic in fron of the Rivers of America whole waiting for the show. That's what a lot of locals do.

Well I'm not usually one to reserve in advance, unless it's a special occasion or something. Since I'm an annual passholder at WDW, we go almost every month (I live 3 hours away.) We usually just make same day reservations, some 2 hours or less in advance. I have walked into a few restaurants at the world. We've been lucky. It's a lot harder here than in Disneyland.

That's another difference here in CA. There's a heavier emphasis on the counter service than table service. Seems to be the exact opposite in FL.

Sounds like a plan, but maybe I'll trade dinner for some fresh hot beignets! :p

Yeah, I've noticed on the website. Then again, Magic Kingdom at WDW only has maybe three Table Service restaurants.
