Out of all the great show scenes in WDW or mainly Magic Kingdom, which one do you think is the best.

1. Haunted Mansion - ballroom scene

2. Pirates of the Caribbean - battle scene right after the drop

3. Peter Pans Flight - Flying over London scene

4. it's a small world - final scene at the end.

5. Haunted Mansion - graveyard scene.

I was thinking about this at work today and off the top of my head these 5 scenes came to mind as the best at WDW. My favorite would have to be the battle scene from pirates. There is something about that scene that gets me going. Feel free to add more. Very curious what some of you think and if I missed one that is great.

P.S. I wanted to add the farmhouse scene from Living with the Land, but I thought compared to these other five it doesnt contend.

Nice topic.

My favorite of the ones you mentioned is the It's A Small World final scene (or ANY It's A Small World scene, really! ;) )

If I were to pick a second favorite or co-favorite, it would actually be the final scene of Splash Mountain, where the critters are happy to "Welcome Home Brer Rabbit" and are all singing that Disney anthem of pure happiness, "Zip A Dee Doo Dah". And after you pass the riverboat full of singing critters, there's a hillarious gag with Brer Gator chomping on the frustrated Brer Fox's tail, who is yelling "OW!", and yelling at the oblivious Brer Bear to "Stop that singing!". Cracks me up every time!

This whole sequence is, IMO, "Pure Disney Magic"! :)

I have to agree with the Ballroom scene being the best, it has so much detail and I would say it is the most memorable scene from any Disney attraction. If I were to add a few to the mix, they would be:

-The 5th Dimension scene in Tower of Terror
-The Wizard of Oz scene from The Great Movie Ride
-The Riverboat scene from Splash Mountain

A personal favourite: the Renaissance scene from Spaceship Earth.

Lol I was going to put that scene in there, but with all the maintenance issues with splash right now I didn't want it to turn into a flamefest of splash.

The scene in the Tower of Terror where you're in the elevator and the room darkens into a star field and you see the window at the end of the hall float and then shatter. Holy crap, I freaked out the first time I saw that! (I loved it).

How about a top ten?

1. Fort and Wicked Wench scene of Pirates
2. I might actually go with the Gangster Shootout of Great Movie Ride, for its sheer drama
3. Zip-a-dee Lady scene in Splash Mountain
4. Planet Earth, Spaceship Earth
5. Universe of Energy dinosaurs
6. Auction scene, Pirates
7. I feel bad for putting it way down here... but Haunted Mansion ballroom
8. Greek theater scene in Spaceship Earth
9. Ride through the temple, Jungle Cruise
10. The 13 o'clock, Haunted Mansion

Where would the Kilimanjaro savannah fall into this? And I'll avoid mentioning the American Adventure, for simplicity's sake. ;)

I agree on The Haunted Mansion Ballroom AND graveyard scenes.

Another I would like to add is the American Adventure scene at the 'Exposition' with Twain, Bell, Carnegie, and Anthony....quite impressive especially since the scene is 'built' dynamically during the show.

Some of my faves:

-Haunted Mansion: The graveyard scene... I love coming out of the attic and seeing the whole "landscape"
-SSE: The scene with the sleeping monk, I love that AA!
-Kilimanjaro Safari: When you round the bend and see the whole savannah, it always takes my breath away
-Star Tours: The queue area, so many little details
-Splash Mountain: The showboat scene!

Great topic!

Here are a few random ones that I've always liked (I agree with the ones already posted by everyone else!):

-The oil rig scene in Maelstrom. Something about it is eery/cool to me.
-The newsboy to family watching tv scene in SSE.
-4th of July scene in CoP
-cave man scene in SSE
