Best seating location for Soarin

This time when my mom and I go in March, I am going to request Row 1, which is the row that is the highest when the seats raise.

Row 1, ideally in the middle. It's the only one where you don't constantly see people's feet above you, making for a much more immersive experience.

Soarin' was actually designed for row B2 (the 2nd row of the middle section, which I prefer) and it was intended to see feet. The majority of the programming was done from this row by the Imagineers since it is in the middle of the screen. Majority of the people who ride ask for B1, the top row of that middle section so that they don't see feet, which is nice, but if you've never tried other seats, its not easy to explain or compare. Except for maybe the bottom side rows, most of the theater is great I think.

By the way, you CAN ask for the section and row you want -- you just might end up waiting a cycle or two before they accommodate you --

I always ask for Section B Row 1 since I don't want to see feet.

Incidentally, the further to the sides you sit, the higher the dizziness factor so keep that in mind if you you have delicate riders.

If you don't mind seeing feet, then just ask for Section B -- they can almost always accommodate you right away.

...and the worse it is if you're afraid of heights because you can see the down the edge and to the floor. I got stuck on the edge once and was really scared. I'm terrified of heights but the ride normally doesn't bother me since I can't see the floor. On the edge, you can see the floor. *brr* It was awful.

Hmm, I will have to try for those seats when I head down--thanks!

Add me to the hordes who say B1 (top row, center) is the best. It's what I always request, and usually it just requires waiting one extra cycle if they've already filled it.

B1 feels more immersive to me: higher up + no feet = feels like you're in your own world.

(Of course, every time I ride somebody complains about my strobe light, and I just tell them to talk to the engineers who left me in B mode. Not my fault.)

we rode on the bottom row the first time we rode... the only time we rode! i wasn't queuing up again for another 90 minutes to change seats.

That is what I am hoping for. All the times I have ridden Soarin' I was in row 2 and had to see dangling feet in my face. I would rather experience the ride from Row 1 and hope I am able to in March.

Top row far left. It felt like you were alone - No feet above and no other people but family beside me! Still a good view.
