Hi all,

We are looking for recomendations for a good place to eat, probably at DDD, for after we see the 6pm Cirque de Solei. We were looking at the menu for Bongo's and it looked pretty good. Any suggestions?

I have to say that I did not like Bongo's!! The food is not that great and I thought the service was very average!! I would suggest Wolfgang Puck. I went there on my last visit and loved the chilled atmosphere and the food was great! My favourite place to eat though at Downtown is Fultons Crab House. The seafood is excellent and the service impecable. Hope this helps and enjoy the show, its fab!!

Yeah, Bongo's is good. I personally favor The House of Blues. Great southern food, and huge portions. I like the atmosphere there too. They've got American, Southern, Cajun and Creole cooking. One of my favorite places. My wife likes Wolfgang Puck's but I find it a bit uppity and pricey. And you can't go wrong at the Rainforest Cafe. Great fun and good food too, but the wait and be lengthy.

My boyfriend and I are going to the six pm show when we arrive on the 29th (9 days!). It was my birthday present to him. When I bought the tickets over the phone I asked what they suggested we do about dinner and they said a good choice would be either Wolfgang Puck's or Planet Hollywood. I've done Planet Hollywood and it's probably where we will go, but just for the fun of it all. If your looking for good quality food that you can't get everywhere, then I'd go with Puck's.

Planet Hollywood

We went to Cirque twice and both times we went to Planet Hollywood. Servers were great and so much fun it just continued that fun of the show!

I'll toss our two cents in the water here.

For Dinner our two places to eat are:

San Angel Inn - It is not Epcot until I've had the Mole Poblano
Marakesh - Lemon Chicken, Our favorite dish at World Showcase

Both places are loaded with atmosphere and the food is good.

For Lunch our top two picks are:

Biergarten - Germany
Ankerhaus - Norway

Both have a buffet sytle and the food is quite good. I'm not so sure about Ankerhaus now that they've taken the Hot food off the buffet. This time round we are looking at Germany for our Lunch at Epcot.

If you don't mind going a little far afield, and you like seafood, hop on the boat from the international gateway to the Beach Club and have the seafood buffet/clam bake at Cape May. Its pricey (~24.00) but its all you can eat with endless clams, crab legs, fish, ribs, chicken and even hot dogs, chicken strips and mac&Cheese for the little ones.

Have a grand trip,

Hmm... Not REALLY talking to myself. Somehow my response to the World Showcase Dinner question arrived in my own thread.

Thanks for all your suggestions for dinner. Sound like we can't really go wrong.

We like both the House of Blues and Bongo's, although on average I think we enjoy the atmosphere at House of Blues more. The food at Bongo's is fairly authentic and they have a great papa rellena.

Planet Hollywood to me has the best menu, it appeals to everyone in your party. There is such a big selection, your bound to find a great meal and the appetizers just can't be beat!

I like a number of DTD restaurants, but my preference [in order] goes:

Wolfgang Puck's Café
Raglan Road
Fulton's
Bongo's
then it's a toss-up between the rest except PH, where I've never had good service, the food was OK, but not worth suffering through the service to get IMO.
