Hey everybody! Wanted to know what is your best ever meal that you ever had at WDW? Where did you eat? What kind of food did you have? Please discuss.

Best Breakfast: Boatwrights at Dixie Landings. The fresh strawberries and creme, followed by bannana stuffed french toast is a must every year. It's a tradition, even if we aren't staying at PORS, we have to eat at Boatwrights. :slurp: Now I'm hungry!

Meega, nala kwishta!
Ok, mine are...

Breakfast: Kona Cafe. Ate there all week on our honeymoon 8 years ago, and now we do it once a year on our anaversary. Great place. Runner up, Boma.

Lunch: No clear favorite, but we like Garden Grill and Sci-Fi Dinner.

Dinner: Flying Fish. We've had two abosolutly wonderful meals there. The food is the best I've had in WDW. The only place I can think that may top it would be V&A but we havn't eaten there yet, so the Fish get's my top honors for now.

  • Steamed Mediterranean Mussels - saffron, fennel and tomato nage, grilled sourdough bread $13
  • Char Crusted New York Strip Steak with roasted Yukon gold potatoes, button mushrooms, Florida yellow corn, bacon lardons, sauce foyot $36
  • Valrhona Chocolate Souffle - Frangelico Sabayon $10

Add some wine and you have one fantastic meal.

Have fun!

We've gone to Boma during every trip since we first tried it. The food is both delicious and unique. And I have yet to discover another dessert that can even come close to matching the awesomeness that is the Zebra Dome. :slurp: AAHHHH! I want one soooo bad now!

Another good restaurant is Spoodles. We went for the 1st time on our last trip (I picked it out, mostly cuz I liked the name :D ) and we had excellent food and service. The Sangria is really good too (*ahem* not that I would know anything about that :lookaroun :zipit: )

One of the best resturants that we have been to that doesnt seem to get much recognition is Palios in The Swan Hotel....The food and service there is top notch.

The best meal was hands down the meal we ate at The Rose & Crown back in December of 2003. We both ate the prime rib and followed it with the Bailey's Irish Creme Brulee. OMG, it was just a wonderful experience all the way around. The service was great and the food was perfection. I can't wait to get back there again. Maggie

As Iakona said, you get as many as you want at Boma. I don't know about Jiko and at Mara you get three plus two chocolaty things, seen in the bottom right of this photo:

Heading for the great escape.
The best meal we had ever was last August at the california grill.

The server was exceptional, the fireworks outstanding, and the food.................mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Every course was perfect, well prepared, beautifully presented and all tasted as good as it looked. I was allowed some tasters of wine to help me decide what to have, a rare treat.

The kids liked being able to draw on the table cloth, and were quite adventurous in their meal choices. Sushi sampler platter, pork and chocolate lava for dessert. I had steak and it was outstanding, and ive eaten plenty dead cow around the globe, the sauce it was served with was delicious and you savoured every bite. We alos had mussles in lemon rtaht were quality too.

I know its not the cheapest place to dine and some people can take Disneys casual dress policy a bit too far but I have to say it has been excellent every time we have dined there. Roll on August 17th. :slurp:

My wife and I both had the flank steak at the Brown Derby and it was excellent, it was our first experience with this cut of meat and it was probably one of the best steaks I have ever had in a resturaunt. We buy it all the time now at home but cant quite recreate that same flavor. I also had a mushroom dish at the Crystal Palace that I couldnt get enough of. I didnt discover it till we were half way thru our meal and I went back for seconds and thirds. I would have had more if I hadnt been so full. My wife loved the deep fried stuffed french toast at Cinderellas breakfast, at least I think that was what it was. She didnt know what they called it but when she asked the waiter for some more of it he said "yeah some of that stuff" with a twirl of hands and knew what she meant. The worst meal we had, both my wife and I agreed on this one, was at Chef Mickeys. The food was just bland, I cant even remember what we had, it left that kind of impression. The kids loved the characters though.
